Mission Statement Lake Windward Elementary will provide
for the intellectual, social, emotional,
creative and physical growth of children.
We will promote the worth and dignity of
the individual child in a safe, nurturing
environment while preparing him/her to
be contributing citizens in a culturally
diverse society.
A Message from the Principal
CRCT testing continues this week:
Monday: Math
Tuesday: Science
Wednesday: Social Studies
Please have any student in grade 3, 4 or 5 to school on time as being tardy
impacts the students’ ability to join the class for the test. NO KINDLES OR CELL
PHONES DURING CRCT TESTING The Kindles have access to the internet and the cell
phones often ring when in backpacks.
Math Spirit Night at Publix. The kids can have sum fun, while you subtract items
from your grocery list! Thursday, April 18th from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. This a great
opportunity for your children to see how math works in everyday life.

Lost and Found
Please take an extra look in the Lost and Found
area before this long break to claim your child’s warm jacket, sweater, or hat! All items not
claimed by the end of the month will be
donated.
Change In Transportation
Please remember to send the teacher a note specifying
if your child has a change in transportation; otherwise,
your child will be sent home the usual manner. Do not
send transportation changes via email. Substitutes do
not have access to school email.
Please label all your children’s items including
lunch boxes and jackets!
Please do not check out your
children after 2pm. Dismissal
procedures start at this time and
it is very disruptive to the other
students and for the teacher in
the classroom.
Change of Transportation and
After School Program Notes
Please include your child’s full
name, teacher’s name and parent’s
signature, on all notes. We get
several a day with no identifying
facts. This ensures that your child
will end up where they are
supposed to go.
