these amazing women!

We would like to start something new this year, by

doing a Family Newsletter. Our sisters have been

doing incredible things and we want to share that

with all the ones we love! If you have any

questions, please do not hesitate to contact myself,

or our Vice President of Alumnae Relations,

Meghan Rowledge. I can be reached at

Take a Look

Into Our Chapter

The Cold Never Bothered Us Anyway

Though the women of Sigma Kappa have been bearing the many snowstorms Mother Nature has been throwing our way, we have been hard at work both academically and socially.

The past year, Sigma Kappa had the Highest GPA of all Greek Organizations after the Spring Semester and in the Fall increased their Chapter’s GPA by .01.

With one of our values of Personal Growth, this was a measurable example of

how our sisters are always trying to improve. We hope to continue this improvement into the new semester.

When we are not hard at work on our academics, we are striving to live our four values, Friendship, Loyalty, Service, and Personal Growth every day. The hope of this newsletter is to show you what your daughters have been up to and how they are living the values of Sigma Kappa at their time here in Babson.

Events our Chapter has had Thus Far: Bid Day Celebration to welcome our newest members into

the Chapter Parents Tailgate Foundation Fridays where we make thank you cards for

Babson staff and cards for sick children Safe Zone Training

We love our parents and would love to get you more involved! If you have any questions, comments, suggestions or concerns about how to get more involved please contact of Vice President of Alumnae Relations, Meghan Rowledge, at [email protected]. We would love to hear from you!

Why Sigma Kappa?

People often think that being in a Sorority is about the social life and the perks of being Greek. However if you

were to talk to any of the women in the Zeta Zeta chapter, they would tell you being a Sigma Kappa is a whole

lot more than the TSM (Total Sorority Move) you see in the media. We have chapter and campus leaders in

our sisterhoods. Women who (literally!) are from all over the world are in our chapter. What brings these

different women together is the values we share. And I can truly say I love and will be there for each and every

one of my sisters. We recently just added more beautiful women to our organization and when asked, “Why

Sigma Kappa?” this was some of their responses:

“I joined Sigma because the girls I met were so different yet has so many common interest that I can relate to.

The girls are amazing and I couldn’t imagine joining any other sorority! I hope to grow as a person and

academically with my new sisters and I can’t wait!” –Danielle Cataldo ‘18

“Throughout recruitment, I was continuously impressed by Sigma Kappa's emphasis on its values. Every night,

whether it was through a one-on-one conversations or round table discussions, I was amazed by how the girls

truly live by their values!” – Yun Liang ‘18

.

Chapter Updates Zeta Zeta received the following awards at the Greek Awards Ceremony on February 6th: Best New Member Program, Best Service Award and Circle of Excellence We are donating $135 to our philanthropies from an activity done during a recruitment event.
