The lobby is accessible both from 6th Street and Nicollet Mall.

OFFICE INTERIOR STANDARD FINISHES Office interiors feature acoustical tile on a suspended 2’ x 2’ grid or a painted drywall ceiling system. Flooring is a combination of tile marble and commercial quality carpeting. Walls are typically painted drywall or wall coverings applied over steel stud partitions. Corridor doors generally have a stained wood finish.

RETAIL LEVELS Two levels of retail services which include tenants such as Caribou Coffee, D’Amico & Sons, Sprout Salad Company, The Fresh Market, and Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union.

LIFE SAFETY SYSTEM The building is fully sprinkled. Intelligent smoke detectors are located throughout the entire project for early detection and quicker response. Smoke detectors also have pre-alarm capabilities to minimize false alarms. A Honeywell BAS system is monitored 24/7 by in-house security staff. The power and lighting to the Control Center where security staff monitors fire alarms, automation systems, card access, and CCTV is backed up by a UPS system.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Electrical service consists of two 13,800 volt service with a tie-breaker switch for redundancy. Levels 1-4 has a separate 480 volt, 3 phase, 4 wire service. The main electrical equipment room contains multiple main panels consisting of a 3,000-amp, 2,000-amp, and 1,600-amp capacity. Electrical meters are located within the main electrical rooms. Retail tenants are separately metered and each tenant has its own distribution panel. Circuit overload protection is provided by circuit to 400 amps.

SUSTAINABILITY RBC Plaza places high importance on sustainable building management and operations as demonstrated by its LEED for Existing Buildings, Operations, & Maintenance (LEED EBOM) Gold Certification in 2015 and its Energy Star rating every year since 2008. LEED EBOM is the preeminent designation for high performance, sustainable building management and operations. The building’s energy performance is in the top 10% of all comparable buildings nationwide.
