Every champion has a story and the Deutz-Fahr story dates back more than a century. Right from the start, the company showed character and determination: in 1927 it became one of the first companies in the world to mass produce diesel-engine tractors, asserting a firm belief that the mechanisation of agriculture could play a key role in improving the wellbeing of farmers and society in general. From this moment on, the company dedicated itself to the pursuit of advanced technology capable of improving the productivity of the farmer.

In 1936, the company attained another milestone with the launch of the Deutz 11 series, tractors which completely changed the face of farming. Further successes followed: in 1948, the introduction of the air-cooled diesel engine, in 1958, the first hydraulic hitch lifting, and in 1972, the Intrac system. In 1990, Deutz-Fahr introduced a new cab design with the first “open view” tractor. This was followed in 1995 by the launch of the Agrotron, a range that redefined the very concept of the farm tractor with its spacious panoramic cab. Just one year later came the first suspended front axle. In 2001, Deutz-Fahr technological innovation reached yet another milestone with the launch of the Agrotron TTV: the first tractor to be equipped with a continuously variable transmission.

And the excellence of Deutz-Fahr products is not limited to tractors. The company also specializes in the manufacture of combine harvesters. As far back as 1955, Deutz-Fahr presented its first self-propelled combine harvester. This was followed in 1991 by the first Topliner and, in 1993, by the launch of the Powerpress 120 H, the world’s first self-propelled high-density baling press. 1998 saw the launch of the Topliner 8XL, the first combine with 8 straw-walkers and the largest straw-walker machine in the world.

Without question, Deutz-Fahr is a brand that invests heavily in technology and never loses sight of its primary goal: to supply the farmer with advanced, reliable machines that make his work easier and maximise his efficiency.

Many years have passed since the very first mass produced tractors, and today the Deutz-Fahr name still fires the imagination of farmers all over the world. Recently the company received further recognition for the excellence of its products: The Deutz-Fahr Series 7 has been voted ‘Machine of the Year’ for 2014 in Australia. Innovation reaps results.

Deutz-Fahr tractors are designed to ensure top performance and absolute comfort in any operating condition. Deutz Fahr continues to be a benchmark for those aiming to reach maximum productivity in agricultural applications. Last year we launched the 7 series and today we are able to offer the new 5 and 6 series of Deutz tractors to the Australian market. These two series of tractors cover 100hp through to 210hp and bring with them the style, efficiency and power not seen before in this category of tractors.

The good news doesn’t stop there. We will soon see the 9 Series, 270hp to 340hp, high horsepower tractors with exceptional fuel economy and operating cost efficiencies. The 9 Series will be followed by the 11 Series, 440hp, setting the standard for innovation, aesthetic excellence (Giugiaro Design) and technologically advanced features.

For now it is time to enjoy the new 5 and 6 Series tractors, obviously not forgetting the existing models which remain in the excellent portfolio of Deutz-Fahr.
