The Rewa City

Rewa is a city in the Baghelkhand region or North Eastern part of Madhya Pradesh state of India

bordering Allahabad,Mirzapur and Banda Districts of Uttar Pradesh, Satna and Sidhi Districts of

Madhya Pradesh, also known as the Land Of White Tigers as Mohan the first ever known white

tiger was found in this region, It is the administrative center of Rewa District and Rewa Division,

and was formerly the capital of the princely state of Rewa and former state of Vindhya Pradesh

in central India. The town lies about 130 km (86 mile) south of the city of Alahabad, India. Rewa

derives its name from another name for Narmada River.

Top tourist places to see in Rewa:

Baghael Museum - Baghael Museum has art facts such as the stuffed white tiger and some of the belongings of

the King of Rewa.

Pili Kothi - Pili Kothi is located in the district of Rewa which was constructed by the King of Rewa, Dhiraj

Bandhvesh Sir Gulab Singh.

Govindgarh - Govindgarh was considered as the summer capital of the King of Rewa which is around 13 km from

the town of Rewa. Famous for its Sunderja Mangoes, Govindgarh is also known as Mini Vally.

Rewa Fort - Rewa Fort is one of the prominent tourist attractions of Rewa that was left incomplete by Salim Shah,

son of Sher Shah Suri. When Maharaja Vikramaditya reached Rewa.

Rani Talab - Rani Talab is among the oldest water-wells of Rewa. The Rani Talab is situated in the southern part of

the city and is considered holy.

How to reach

Rewa is connected via Satna ,by Train as well as by Bus

route through Bombay-Hawarah Train route and National

Highway No.7 through Maihar-Amarpatan & NH-75

Chhatarpur-Rewa respectively.

By Air – Rewa directly connect by air from Bhopal (The

capital of M.P.), three days in a week.

By Train – Rewa Railway Station directly connected from Satna, Jabalpur, Bhopal, New Delhi, Bilaspur.

By Road – State / private transport buses from Jabalpur, Katni and Satna, Allahabad and Varanashi.Taxis are

available at Satna, Jabalpur, Katni, and Khajuraho to Rewa.

The T.R.S.College

This institution is one of the oldest, most reputed, well equipped and well planned colleges of Madhya Pradesh.

The college, situated in the heart of the city on N.H.7, had celebrated its centenury in 1983 in the auspicious

presence of the then honorable President of India. Govt. Thakur Ranmat Singh (Autonomous) College Rewa

(Erstwhile name Darbar College) was founded in held 1882 with the large campus of 52 acres with the main

object of disseminating knowledge and catering to the needs of the student of Madhya Pradesh. It is the hub of

Higher Education in M.P. paving the way for the other institute. It is a multi-faculty college ,17Department are

recognized and it is a recent centre of A.P.S. University, Rewa (M.P.).

This college is also in M.P. to get the status of “College with potential for Excellence, Centre for Excellence and

NAAC”A” Grade scheme by UGC. Many major research projects are being successfully implemented by faculty

members. The college has a equipped computer lab & language Lab and most modern instrumentation lab for

advance research.

The Department

The Department of Commerce, Govt. T.R.S.(Auto) College was founded in 1964 is a unique centre of

excellence of Accounting, Finance and Taxation. The Department is committed to keep pace with the

changing requirements of commerce, trade and industry in India. There are 2600 student in B.Com.,

B.Com(Computer Application). M.Com., M.Phil., Ph.D. There are 28Professors working in the

Department.

Paper Contribution

The Paper must be in usual standard format with an abstract and particulars about authors. It must be

sent to the Conference/Organizing Secretary (two hard copies with one soft copy in MS word, A-4 size

paper in English Font Time New Roman, Size-12 in Hindi (Kurti Dev) and Line spacing – 1.5) latest

by March 05,2012. Paper received on or before the stipulated date (March.05,2012) only will be

considered for presentation.

*Papers must be original and related to either of the sub-themes or the main theme of the se

*Paper without an abstract will not be accepted in any case.

*In case of joint papers, the maximum no. of collaborators must be limited to 3(three)

*Length of Abstract: maximum 200 words & Length of Paper: maximum 2000 words.
