One grand-prize winner will be selected from the four first-place winners in this United States contest. The grand prize is a 10-day Galápagos Family Adven-ture for two aboard the National Geographic Islander ship, provided by National Geographic Expeditions. The prize includes cabin accommodations, activities, most meals, and round-trip airfare.

Four first-place winners (one for each category) will win a Contour camera; their winning photo will be featured on animaljam.com; a Jazwares prize pack featuring Animal Jam toys; a copy of the books National Geographic Kids Almanac 2017, Weird But True: Ripped from the Headlines 3, Real or Fake?, and By the Numbers 2; and they will be en-tered into the Worldwide National Geographic So-ciety International Photography Contest for Kids for a chance to win the international grand-prize trip. The international grand-prize winner (selected from first-place winners around the world) will win a five-day, four-night trip to Washington D.C., plus a special tour of National Geo-graphic Society headquarters.
