Matthew 1:20-23

WORSHIP LEADER: “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the

Holy Spirit.

CONGREGATION: “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.

WORSHIP LEADER: “All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:

CONGREGATION: ‘The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son,

ALL: ‘and they will call him Immanuel—which means, “God with us.”’”

WORSHIP LEADER: “Some say John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” CONGREGATION: “But you,” He asked them, “Who do you say that I am?” WORSHIP LEADER: Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God!” And Jesus responded, ALL: “Simon son of Jonah, you are blessed because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father in heaven.”
