David Lankes, author, historian, and winner of the Greenwood Award for the Best Book in Library Literature, recently published this visionary book that addresses the subject of library patron expectations in our rapidly changing world.He asks us to think of change as global, inevitable, constant and complex, and to envision the role of a library as a supportive and well-informed agent of change.Lankes suggests that it takes a community commitment and a group of dedicated facilitators to truly transform libraries into places of learning in the modern world.
