Player’s Handbook

The new feats presented here are intended to aug-ment and expand the capabilities of spellcasterswho have chosen to focus on the summoning ofpowerful animals, and might beasts of legend.

Anchored Beasts summoned to serve you cannot be ban-ished. Prerequisites: Spell Focus (Conjuration),Stubborn Summons, ability to cast arcane ordivine spells of the summoning subschool. Benefits: The creatures you summon through theuse of your summon spells cannot be dismissedby a targeted dispel magic effect, though anyspells cast upon them later can still be dispelledas normal. Normal: An area effect dispel can end the conju-ration which summoned a monster, dismissing itback to where it came from.

Legion You can summon multitudes of lesser creatureswith a powerful summons spell.

Prerequisites: Spell Focus (Conjuration), abilityto cast arcane or divine spells of the summoningsubschool.Benefits: When you use a spell of the summon-ing subschool to conjure multiple creatures, suchas when you use a summon monster IV spell to

summon 3rd level creatures, you automaticallysummon the maximum number of creatures pos-sible. So, for example, if you were to summon1d4+1 creatures, you would automatically sum-mon the full 5.

Mixed MenagerieYou can branch your magic, allowing you tosummon creatures of multiple types. Prerequisites: Spell Focus (Conjuration),

Legion, ability to cast 2nd level arcane or divinespells of the summoning subschool. Benefits: When you use a summon monster orsummon nature’s ally spell to conjure multiple,weaker creatures, you can summon monsters ofdifferent types. For example, if you were to use asummon nature’s ally IV spell to summon 3 crea-tures (per the Legion feat) from the summon

AUGMENT SUMMONING AND SPELLFOCUS (CONJURATION)

The feats and options introduced in this sourcebook make heavy use of the Augment Summoningand Spell Focus (Conjuration) feats listed in the PHB. In order to facilitate use of the new mate-rial here, those two feats are reprinted here.

Augment SummoningYour summoned creatures are more powerful than normal.Prerequisites: Spell Focus (Conjuration)Benefits: Each creature you conjure with any summon spell gains a +4 enhancement bonus toStrength and Constitution for the duration of the spell that summoned it.

Spell Focus (Conjuration)Your conjuration spells are more potent than normal. Benefits: Add +1 to the Difficulty Class for all saving throws against spells of the Conjurationschool.
