Vicki Salemi is a media savvy writer and has penned thousands of bylines in numerous publications. She knows how to craft a pitch and cultivate a timely story in feeding editors what they want and when they need it. And with a corporate background as well, this hired gun effortlessly composes corporate bios, newsletters and media kits.

Her work has appeared repeatedly in The Chicago Tribune, The New York Post, Forbes.com, U.S. News & World report, CNBC European Business, AOL Health, Yahoo!, SheKnows, SUCCESS.com, Mediabistro, OKMagazine.com, Time Out New York, Metro newspapers, Cosmo for Latinas, Refinery29, Weight Watchers Magazine and many more print and online outlets.

Her first magazine article was published in 1997, thereby making her an official published writer at the ripe old age of nine. (Kidding. She was really 10! Plus a few years.)

She is the author of The ABC’s of College Life and Big Career in the Big City, former creator/host/producer of MediabistroTV’s “Score That Job,” the former editorial director of startup CollegeRover.com and former brand ambassador for ClassesUSA.com, an Experian company. She’s also interviewed countless notable names ranging from Gloria Steinem to Derek Jeter to Pablo Picasso’s grandson. Actually, she conducted her very first celebrity interview with Angelina Jolie in 2003 (totally serious).

Ms. Salemi earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Lafayette College and management certificate from Cornell University’s School of Industrial & Labor Relations in NYC. She’s a member of The Newswomen’s Club of New York and the Publicity Club of New York.

In her spare time when she’s not working, you’ll find her cardio tap dancing, cheering for her Yankees or shopping online, a major weakness considering she’s online 24/7.

In 2013, Kiley Hanish and her husband Sean made RETURN TO ZERO in the belief that as a film, it would help to shatter the stigma and silence associated with stillbirth. By sharing their personal tragedy, they wished that others would find healing and even hope for the future. But RETURN TO ZERO became much more than they anticipated - the film launched as a grass roots movement that has reached across continents and language barriers and has galvanized a global community.

The success of the movie continues to help those who have experienced the heartbreak of stillbirth to feel as though they are not alone. It has created and inspired communities around the world that allow people to grieve a loss that has heretofore been silent in society, and its impact has been transcendent for people who have only known grief in solitude.

The Return to Zero Center for Healing developed organically and as a result of the film's positive impact. It helps others to find hope and healing after the death of their baby through outreach, education, research, and retreats.
