VMS 2013 UIL One Act Play

What is UIL OAP? The UIL One-Act Play contest is a competition where

similarly sized Texas schools present an 18-40 minute play usually adjudicated by a single judge. The contest is held on a single day and open to the public. There are five possible levels of competition for High Schools: Zone, District, Area, Region, and State. At each level of competition the judge awards individual acting awards as well as selecting two productions to advance to the next level of competition. After the awards are announced the Judge gives an oral critique to each of the schools. Because of the wide participation and diversity of plays produced certain rules and guidelines have been adopted by the State One-Act Play Office. These rules are in place to ensure safety, allow for equity, satisfy legal standards, and make the running of the contest practical.

Rebecca has been previously seen as Gina in The Audition, and as Princess Rhyme in The Phantom Tollbooth.

Tyler has been previously seen as Mr. Torrance in The Audition, Darian in How to Eat Like a Child, the Otter in The Wind in the Willows, Shaggy in Scooby Doo, Jeff Matthews in Show and Spell, and as the Villain in Peril in Pumpernickel Past.

Loren has been previously seen as Desiree in Show and Spell, Kate in The Wind in the Willows, and Costumes and Makeup for Hound of the Baskervilles and I Never Saw Another Butterfly.

David has been previously seen as Alison’s Father in The Audition, Bones in Pirates of the Caribbean, Fred in Scooby Doo, Pirate in Peggy the Pint Sized Pirate, Butch Cassidy in Night at the Museum, and Mummy in Monster High Mystery.
