She continued, dont get conused, yaar. The problem

I could see a uture politician in her.A politician anda social activist, not a bad combination, I thought. What abad combination, I thought again.

I was conused. I was unsure i I was nally getting

my due love or was getting trapped in a well thought plan.Going by Nehas eyes I could assume they did not lie.

She asked me to come to her house next day whenshe would introduce me to her cousin. I did not sleep aminute in the night. A constant ght between mind andheart continued.

I went to Nehas house in the morning at around tenoclock. She welcomed me and made me sit in a room atthe ground foor that looked as a meeting room. Thenshe made a call to her Dara bhaiya.

What happened? I asked as she hung up.

He will be here in teen minutes. Till then we will

have coee together, she said and went upstairs to bringcoee.

I was too nervous and drowsy. All o a sudden abubble created in my stomach and started bloating. Ielt sudden uneasiness and started walking to and ro inthe room. My ace turned pale and sweaty. I instructedmysel to stay calm.

Ater two minutes, Neha came back and a servantollowed her with a tray o two coee cups and somesnacks. We passed each other glances and smiles.

My tension was increasing exponentially. I looked ather. Suddenly, once tiny circular piece o glass, xed onher dress near her chest, drew my attention as room light

refected by it with her movements. I saw my mirror-image in it as I ocused. I kept watching my image in thattiny mirror. It made me realize what I was going to do.I lowered my ace and stood up with the last sip o mycoee. I am sorry. I am sorry, I said.

For what? Neha asked.

I wont be able to help you or your athers politicalmotives. I cant cheat Aam Shakti Party and Bharat Sir.I could not courage to look into her eyes.

Shut up and get lost, she screamed, pushing meaway. I knew there was no point in talking to her thatmoment, so I decided to leave. I saw a tall guy, aged

around orty, in white kurta, entering the room as Iwalked out. This was Dara bhaiya.

A tear rolled down my cheek as I walked away silently.

I was not able to orget Nehas teary ace. Will Nehastill marry me, have I taken the right decision or I have axedmy own leg? I thought. I have to get her or whatever it

takes. Ater all she also loves me, you have seen her eyes, right?They didnt lie. Anyway screw her eyes, whatever she has donein past two days; you think she could do without loving you.

you up on your home phone at least ve times. Everytime your mother picked up and told that she had noidea where you were. So where the hell are you moochingaround? Dating a girl in disguise or doing somethingunsocial? Tell me, I asked Raman when he attended mycall on sixth attempt.

Nothing man, just wandering with Sandy, around

the city to pass time. Where are you? Raman said.

I have just reached station. I have to discusssomething really important. Meet me at Adda in nextteen minutes, Okay? I said rom a telephone booth onrailway station.

Whats so important? Eloping with your girlriend?

he asked and laughed. Girls are the most discussed topicin guys teen ages. Studious guys try to impress girls withtheir knowledge skills and the notorious ones try theirluck with dierent techniques such as Shahrukh-stylefirting, passing love letters, proposing, stalking and manyother innovative ways.

Shut up, dirty mind. Neha is just a riend, notgirlriend, I said, looking at the telephone booths meter.

Okay! But I did not mention Nehas name. A thiealways has a speck in his beard, he mocked me. Hissaying this caused me have a big smile on my ace butsomehow I controlled my emotions so that he could notsense that actually he was right.
