so many amazing things that I use each day,” said Bendt. “It taught me how to be cooper-ative with people in a positive manner. I think it continues to make me a team player and a collaborative leader.”
Bendt has also been doing
speaking on leadership and character development.
He and his wife, Lisa, currently live in Beaverton, Oregon which is part of the Portland metro area.
Tom and Lisa celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversa-ry in May. Lisa is the executive director of the Multnomah
Athletic Foundation in Port-land. She also graduated from USD.
Tom’s parents, Larry and Joyce Bendt, were long time residents of Tea who recently moved to Sioux Falls. They continue to support athletics in the area, attending most Titan home basketball game.

The fi rst annual Lennox Vol-unteer Fire Department Golf Tournament is scheduled for August 15 at the Lenkota Coun-try Club. The cost is $200 per team and includes mulligans. Carts will be available to rent through the clubhouse. Supper will also be provided following the tournament.
Payouts are based on teams
with a 27 team limit.There is a sign up sheet
available at Lenkota Country Club or you can call the club-house. Registration will be held the day of the Tournament, August 15, at 9 a.m. There is a 10 a.m. shotgun start planned.
