People are living in a republic. There is an elected Senate which makes decisions for the galaxy. The Jedi are the peacekeepers.

The galaxy is on the verge of a civil war. Evil is growing and good is blissfully unaware.

• Queen Amidala is the Queen of the small planet of Naboo. Her planet has been attacked by the Trade Federation. They want her to sign a treaty to make their occupation of her planet legal.

• She is a democratically elected queen, smart and powerful.

• Qui –gon Gin is a Jedi. He and his Padawan (apprentice) Obi-Wan Kenobi have been sent to help end the war on the Planet of Naboo.

• Obi-wan Kenobi is Qui-gon’s Padawan learner

• He and his master have gone to Naboo to aid the queen.

• He is not yet a Jedi Knight

• Darth Sidious is the Sith Lord.

• He is an ally to the Trade Federation who have invaded the planet of Naboo.

• His identity is unknown to the Jedi, yet he is the main source of evil corrupting the galaxy.

• Darth Maul is a Sith apprentice.

• The Sith are Dark Jedi, they follow the Dark Side of the Force.

• His master is Darth Sidious.

• Viceroy Gunray is the leader of the Trade Federation.

• His armies have attacked the planet of Naboo.

• He is allied with Darth Sidious.

• Anakin Skywalker is a slave boy that meets the Jedi on the planet of Tatooine.

• He has exceptional Jedi skills.

• Yoda is the leader of the Jedi Council.

• The Jedi Council is the decision making part of the Jedi order, similar to our congress/senate.

• Yoda is considered the wisest Jedi.

• Anakin Skywalker is now 19 years old.

• He is not yet a Jedi Knight, but he is very strong in the Force.

• He has continued to love Padme since they parted on Naboo 10 years earlier.

• Padme is now serving as the senator from Naboo.

• She is against the creation of an army to fight the Separatists.

• She has not forgotten Anakin but is focused on being a senator.

• Now a Jedi Master, Obi Wan Kenobi has trained Anakin for the past 10 years.

• He worries about Ankain’s habit of focusing on the negative.

• Chancellor Palpatine is the former senator from Naboo.

• He claims to be very concerned about the Separatists and the freedom of the galaxy.

• R2D2 has remained a loyal companion of Padme.

• As her droid, he’s primary responsibility is to ensure her safety.

• Anakin and Padme meet C3PO when Anakin returns to his home planet of Tatooine.

• Anakin’s mother has covered C3PO so he is no longer naked.

• Count Dooku is the leader of the Separatists. He leads the Trade Federation and other star systems.

• He is the new Sith apprentice to Darth Sidious.

• He is a former Jedi and not to be trusted.

• Viceroy Gunray is still the leader of the Trade Federation.

• He is now allied with Count Dooku and wants Padme dead.

• Padme and Anakin are now married and separated by the war.

• Padme is pregnant and her focus is shifting from being a Senator to preparing for her baby to arrive and a life with Anakin.

• Anakin is tired of war and missing Padme.

• Both R2D2 and C3PO travel with Anakin and Padme.

• Anakin has made modifications to R2D2 to give him more personality.

• C3PO is now covered in gold and stays with Padme.

• General Grevious is the general in charge of the Separatists.

• He answers to Count Dooku and Darth Sidious.

• He has been trained in Jedi arts and is part machine and part alien.

• Anakin Skywalker decides to turn to the dark side.

• He is from this point known as Darth Vader, although he does not yet wear the black suit.

• Obi Wan Kenobi has become a general in the war.

• He and Anakin are inseparable until Anakin turns to the Dark Side.

• He has also remained close with Padme.

• After a battle with Obi Wan on the planet of Mustafar, Anakin is seriously injured.

• He is forced to wear the black suit to survive.

• He cannot remove the helmet and breathe except in a special chamber he builds.

• His identity as Anakin Skywalker is unknown by most people in the galaxy.

• Padme and Anakin’s babies (twins) are born. They are named Luke and Leia and sent into hiding in different parts of the galaxy.

• The identity of their parents remain a secret and the twins are believed to be dead.

• Chancellor Palpatine eventually declares himself Emperor.

• The galaxy is reorganized from a Republic to an Empire.

• The Force eventually reunites Luke and Leia.

• Together they lead the Rebellion against the Empire.

• Luke trains to become a Jedi.

• Luke and Leia learn they are brother and sister.

• Like her mother Padme, Leia has become a powerful leader.

• She is one of the main leaders of the Rebel Alliance who fight against the Empire to restore freedom to the galaxy.

• She is strong in the Force and will become a Jedi.

• Obi Wan Kenobi has spent the 19 years since Padme’s death secretly watching over Luke.

• He begins Luke’s training but is killed before it is complete.

• His grief from the loss of Anakin, Padme and the Jedi ages him greatly.

• Luke eventually learns that Darth Vader is his father.

• Luke becomes a powerful Jedi and is determined to save his father.

• He and Darth Vader have several battles before Anakin is redeemed.

• Eventually, Anakin is redeemed. He kills the Emperor and restores balance to the Force.

• He asks Luke to remove his mask so that Anakin may see Luke.

• After a moment, Anakin dies.
