    The reason I f e l t so f l a t t e r e d b y Z e v i ' s compliments about my u n d e r s t a n d i n g o fh i s i d e a s an d h i s r e q u e s t f o r me t o w r i t e o u t n o t e s about i t , i s because I have a l ways l o o k e d u p t o Zevi as a s o r t o f "Church E l d e r " , even though he i s younger t h a nm e. ButI d o n ' t t h i n k C h r i s t i a n s put enough emphasis on th e f a c t t h a t Jesus was a man, and Ido not t h i n k most C h r i s t i a n s u n d e r s t a n d why t h i s i s i m p o r t a n t , so I would l i k e t o t a k et h i s o p p e r t u n i t y t o e x p l a i n e x a c t l y why i t i s , not o n l y i m p o r t a n t , but maybe THE mosti m p o r t a n t a s p e c t of His s a c r i f i c e f or us: imagine i f you were asked to do the same t h i n gJesus d i d , e x e p t knowing f u l l w e l l t h a t you a re not God and t h a t t h e r e i s no guarenteet h a t you would be r e s u r r e c t e d u n t o l i f e a f t e r t h r e e days?     Jesus H i m s e l f spoke i n t o my s o u l one day when I was 17 y e a r s o l d , t a k i n g a shower.Jesus H i m s e l f " w a t e r - b a b t i s e d " me under the r u n n i n g water of a YMCA shower where Iwas washing because we had no r u n n i n g wat er i n th e g h e t t o house I l i v e d i n at thet i m e . I alw ays wondered why He chose t h e n t o do i t . Why t h a t p a r t i c u l a r t i m e ? Why notw a i t u n t i l I was a l i t t l e o l d e r , b e t t e r a b l e t o r e s i s t s i n because I wou ld have growno u t of th e i m p u l s i v e n e s s and the i m m a t u r i t y of y o u t h , and would have th a sense to f i n da good church? Why then? I was a s k i n g m y s e l f t h i s q u e s t i o n j u s t a week ago, have beena s k i n g i t f o r 26 y e a r s now, and now, w r i t i n g t h i s pap er, I f i n a l l y know why: becauseI was t h i n k i n g of Jesus i n terms of His humanity t h a t day i n th e shower.
