Trends and Projections
Aging population will impact architects, doctors, occupational therapists, pharmacists and physical therapists.
Strong job prospects for medical professionals willing to work in rural, inner-city, low-income and medically underserved areas.
The role of physician assistants is expected to expand as states allow assistants to do more procedures and as insurance companies expand coverage of physician assistant services.

Trends and Projections
Demand for occupational therapy services will stem from patients with autism spectrum disorder.
Job opportunities for advanced practice registered nurses may exist from attrition.
Higher than average retirement for dentists and optometrists will leave an employment void.
Demand is projected for architects with knowledge of green (sustainable) design.

Trends and Projections The number of pharmacy schools has grown in
recent years, creating more graduates. Residency programs and certifications give students advantages.
Because of strong competition, a law graduate’s willingness to relocate and prior work experience are becoming more important.
Veterinarians can expect very strong competition, but are qualified for employment in nontraditional industry positions.
