The Train Design that is being discussed here involves an Electric Train Engine with a
Generator Car, and a third track, which is a Guide Rail Track.
The Electric Train Engine is built with a remodeled Box Car. The front of the engine has
windows in front and on the sides. The engine has 4 wheel sets, with the front and rear as
simple roller wheels, with the second and third in the middle with the two wheel sets powered by
four electric motors which are connected to the wheel sets by drive chains. Two small electric
generators are located in the engine car to get the engine started, and to move it around the train
yard. Next, the second car is the electric generator car with two more electric generators which
are powered by a gasoline turbine engine. Between the gasoline engine and the electric
generators are gear transfer boxes which utilize roller gears and which increase the power or
torque of the drive shaft power to the electric generators by at least 100x. Then, in the generator
car, 8 more generators are powered by wheel sets and chains drives which are connected to the
electric generators such that when the train moves and thus the generator car, that movment
moves the wheel sets and thus by the chain drive, also moves the electric generators so that there
is at least 5 times the electricity available to power the drive electric motors in the engine car.
With these roller generators engaged, the cost of fuel for running the train is practically zero.
The other innovation of this train is that the engine and all the cars have a two foot clearaince
above the ground. A Third Rail is bolted down in the middle of the two outside rails. The
Third Rail is a Guide Rail which prevents train derailments and allows the speed of the train to

increase to over 1,000 miles per hour. The Guide Rail is a typc of monorail design where the
rail is a one foot by one foot box rail, where there are axle slot , approximately 3 inches wide
which go into the middle of the box rail on both side, and approximately 4 inches in, a
perpendicular second wheel slot, which is 3 inches wide and 6 inches tall runs the length of the
Guide Rail as well. Thus, a wheel set with two wheels is loaded into the rail and the interior
wheels turn within the 6 inch slot and the axels connecting the wheels to the bottoms of the
respective train cars slide within the 3 inch side slots on the Guide Rail. The result is that the
individual train cars cannot derail by jumping the outer rails.
The result is that Dad and the kids in Pittsburgh could take one of these trains to Chicago for
the day, with only a one hour train ride there and back again.
