In addition to cardiac catheterization lab services, we also

offer a variety of comprehensive diagnostic services. The

vascular lab at FHN uses non-invasive diagnostic technology

to visualize veins and arteries to determine the best course

of treatment for any blockages or other issues that are

discovered.

Services include:

• Exercise and pharmacological stress test

• EKG

• Echocardiogram

• 30-day cardiac event monitor

• Carotid studies

Our team of physicians, nurses and technologists provide

state-of-the-art medical care to our patients. An imaging

system called Innova™ 3100 by GE is used in both cardiac and

peripheral studies, pacemaker and stent placements, as well as

interventional radiology. The procedures are performed while

physicians view the vessels and anatomy of the cardiovascular

system, from the heart all the way to the finest arteries and veins

in the fingertips and toes.

The cardiac catheterization laboratory provides services essential

to the management and treatment of patients with coronary

artery disease. Services provided at our center include:

• Right and left heart catheterization

– Diagnostic coronary, renal and peripheral angiograms

• Cardioversion

• TEE (transesophageal echocardiogram)

• Abdominal arteriogram

• Interventional procedures including:

– Coronary angioplasty

– Coronary stent

– Pacemaker and defibrillator placement

– Peripheral and renal stents

The FHN Judy and Virgil Bocker Cardiovascular Center at FHN

Memorial Hospital is a multipurpose, all-digital lab enabling

FHN to offer you complete cardiovascular care and support

in one centralized location close to home. Our state-of-the-art

center offers:

- A recovery room designed to serve up to six patients

simultaneously, including high-risk patients who previously

would have been sent out of the area for treatment

- Increased space and flexibility to accommodate future

demands, which we expect to increase 10–20 percent each

year for the foreseeable future

- The most current technology available, 24 hours a day

After a cardiac intervention, rehabilitation at FHN is part

of your comprehensive treatment. We’ll work with you in a

friendly atmosphere to get your heart and respiratory system

as healthy as possible.
