Children will dive deeply into a Bible story, first gathering together for an opening hands-on activity before breaking off into age groups and traveling to a rotating station each Sunday. SAVE THE DATESWESLEY   FOUNDATION YARD SALE  is Sat., Feb. 22, 8am- 12pm. and accepting donations anytime. If you have any questions or have any items at home that you need help transporting to the church, contact Jay at 828-508-7026. All proceeds go toward helping college students go to the Holy Land in December.  CAMP TEKOA (UNITED METHODIST CAMP) INFORMATION SESSION Sun., Feb. 23, 12:30pm, small fellowship hall. Learn about children and youth (ages 7-17) ½ week and weekly overnight camps in Hendersonville, NC.CHURCH CLEANUP DAY Sat., Mar. 21, 9am-noon. We will have outside jobs and inside jobs – a job for everyone! More details later. Rain date will be April 4.

WHEE WEDNESDAY SMALL GROUPS Spring 20205:30pm – Food and Fellowship Dinner

A delicious potluck style meal will be served each week. The meal this week is meat or vegetarian chili with grilled cheese. • Cost: Free! Just bring a side dish or dessert that feeds your family plus 4-6 others. • RSVP required for church provided main dish – please sign up on the pew cards, email the church at [email protected] or call the office at 293-9215. 6:15pm - 7:00pm – Small Groups• Infant and Toddler Childcare – room 125 with Nina Webb.• Children’s Small Group – the kids will explore Bible stories through age-appropriate hands on activities, like cooking, crafts, missions, games, and so much more! Join the fun with Scarlette Pless and Kathy Yurchak in Room #127.

• Youth Small Group – the youth will study Bible stories, talk about faith and life, and do fun missions with Zack Georgopoulos in Room #207.• Adult Study – Join David Reeves in the Weekley Library for Cool People and the Bible. • Adult Study – Join Julia Trantham Heckert in the Glass Block Room for a video study entitled The Life of Jesus by Matthew Williams. We’ll look at key events in Jesus’ life through a historical and contextual lens to gain a deeper understanding of Jesus’ ministry.• 6:00pm: College Night Yoga – led by Chad Hallyburton in the Small Fellowship Hall, room #111.• 7:00pm: Chancel Choir – rehearsal will be led by Damon Sink in the Sanctuary.

LEADERSHIP EMPOWERMENT EVENTSunday, February 9, 2020, 2:00-4:30 at First Franklin UMC.

Open to everyone in the Smoky Mountain District that is serving in a leadership capacity, as well as those people who have a desire to know more about ways to serve their church in ministry and mission. The Event is focused solely on how to empower leadership in our local churches. Two Sessions of workshops will be offered:

SESSION A: 2:20-3:20 How to Start Fresh Expressions Finance Committees, Budgeting, and Apportionments Faith and Generosity: A New View of Stewardship Moving to a One Board Governance Serving on Pastor Parish or Staff Parish Relations Committee Growing a Ministry of Congregational Care Introduction to Gracious Accountability Groups Congregations4Children: Transforming the lives of Children and Families

SESSION B WORKSHOPS: 3:30-4:30 Serving on Trustees Committee (only offered in Session B)

 All Session A Workshops will be repeated in Session B except for Moving to a One Board Governance.
