A Guide to theGraduate Application Process

If you’ve applied to NC State previously, you should have accountinformation that you can enter on the User Login tab. If you don’t remember your PIN or password, click “Forgot your PIN or password?”

If you have previously created an account but try to create a new one using the same information, you’re going to receive this “Duplicate Account!” notification. You can click “Forgot Login Information” to receive an email with this information. You can also click “Continue and Create Account” if you’d like to create a new account instead.

Note: The application is managed by the Graduate School. If you have questions, please contact them directly using the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of the page. Please do not contact the Statistics Online Program Coordinator with questions related to the application.

Be sure to note your PIN so that you can log into your account for future applications or to manage your current application.

Before clicking the blue “Start Application” button, be sure that you have popups enabled. Also check that you have all of the items listed in the right corner of this screen before clicking “Start Application.”

Note the “Important Links” section on the left of the page. You can find help with uploading transcripts, application instructions and more in this section so consider reviewing it before completing the sections under “Application for Admission.”

At this time, the Statistics Online programs are only accepting individuals who live in North America.

If you don’t check “Yes” here, be sure to submit your TOEFL information or your application will be considered incomplete.

Be sure to choose the certificate or the master’s degree in this dropdown. Once you do, find the desired program in the dropdown.

Certificate applicants will find two options in this dropdown: Grad Cert: Applied Stats and Data Management - Distance (listed second) and Grad Cert: Statistics Education - Distance (listed between Grad Cert: Renewable Electric Energy Systems and Grad Cert: Teaching Training Educational Technology).

Master’s Applicants will find one applicable option: Statistics - MR - Distance (between Statistics - MR and Statistics - PHD).

Only complete these two sections if you’re applying for the Master’s. If you’re applying for the Certificate, click “Save and Continue,” leaving this section empty and moving on to the next section.

Official transcripts are required to complete the application process. Be sure to upload black and white PDFs of your transcripts on this page. If you upload color PDFs, you’ll receive an error message.

No essay is required to apply for Statistics Online programs.

NC State requires that you submit this information and will conduct a background check to confirm that it is complete, accurate and truthful.

At this time, the Statistics Online programs are only accepting individuals who live in North America.

If you are an international student, you can skip this section and the Graduate School will reach out once it’s needed.

Recommendations are required if you’re applying for the Master’s.Certificate applicants can skip this section.

Once you’ve reached this step, you’re almost done! Review your application status. If it’s incomplete, you’ll find a list of what sections need completion here. This is an example list so yours may look different.

Go through and make sure you entered information for each of the items in this list. Once you do, your application is complete and ready for submitting.
