How can I get child support for my children? How can a parent manage child support debt?
TheDivisionofChildSupport(DCS)administersstateandfederallawsand helps families by establishing child support obligations, collecting and processingchildsupportpayments,andreviewing,modifying,andchangingchildsupportobligations.FamilieswhoreceivecashormedicalassistancefromDSHSautomaticallyreceivechildsupportservices.Familieswhodonot receive cash or medical assistance from DSHS can request child support services.Youdonothavetohavecourt-orderedcustodyinordertoqualifyforchild support services, and you don’t have to be the parent of a child to receive childsupportpaymentsforachildinyourcare.
