A stack of tender squid rings dusted with Old Bay

seasoning and drizzled with our spicy chipotle sauce.

Served with a wedge of lemon and garnished with

chopped spring onion and coriander.

COD PAKORAS

Bite sized pieces of cod in onion bhaji batter, drizzled

with a coriander and mint dip. Served with a wedge

of lime and garnished with chopped spring onion and

coriander.

CORONATION CHICKENPoached spiced chicken, dressed in our own coronation

mayonnaise sauce with raisins, toasted almonds and dried

pineapple. Served cold with baby leaf salad and drizzled

with coronation mayonnaise.

MUSHY PEA FRITTERSOur homemade mushy pea fritters covered in crunchy

seaweed batter and drizzled with creamy wasabi mayo.

Garnished with chopped spring onion and coriander.

PIGS UNDER DUVETS

Mini British pork bangers under a crispy bacon duvet

with bubble and squeak mash and a sweet honey and

mustard dressing.

GEORGE’S SCOTCH EGG

Handmade pork, leek and ginger soft yolk Scotch egg,

served with splendid piccalilli.

KATSU CHICKEN GOUJONS

Chicken fillets coated in George's secret blend of Asian

spices and panko breadcrumbs, served on a bed of baby

leaf salad with lashings of sweet curry sauce, chopped

spring onions, fresh coriander and a wedge of lemon.

HALLOUMI & VINE TOMATO SKEWERS

Halloumi and vine tomato skewers marinated in George's

own warm spices and grilled using our Inka grill. Served on

a bed of chickpea and spinach masala.

GOAT'S CHEESE FRITTERS

Two goat's cheese slices coated in smoked paprika batter,

served with our house pickles and George's beetroot

chutney and parsley salad, drizzled with honey and

sprinkled with paprika.

PROPER DIRTY DOUBLE BURGER Two burger patties made to our recipe using the finest chuck

and brisket, grilled in the Inka and topped with red Leicester.

Served in a brioche bun with baby leaf salad, a slice of tomato,

thin slices of pickled gherkin, lashings of dirty mayonnaise and

tomato ketchup on the side. Topped with a George's frickle...

GEORGE'S STACKED FISH BURGER A tender fillet of cod, dipped in chilli and coriander batter

and coated in polenta. Served in a brioche bun with bread and

butter pickles, campfire slaw, tomato, baby leaves, chipotle

dressing and a side of campfire slaw. Topped with a George's

Crispy battered giant cod finger in a brioche bun with a

layer of mushy peas and a topping of chunky tartare sauce.

Since we’ve been open, we’ve been

flabbergasted with the kind words you’ve said

about our home, our people and our food! If you

didn’t already know we’re absolutely chuffed to

have won two prestigious awards. Back in June

2015 we won the Nottingham Post’s ‘BEST NEW

VENUE’ at the Nottinghamshire Food & Drink

Awards, where we were finalists alongside Annie’s

Burger Shack and the Ruddington Arms. If that

wasn’t enough, in October 2015 we won the

International Restaurant & Bar Design Awards

which is all thanks to our chums at Phillip Watts

Design… to say we’re ruddy proud to represent

Nottingham on an International stage is just a tad

of an understatement!

Where do we start? We grew up together

just outside of Nottingham and have

been making great fish & chips for the last

20 years. Just like we did with the humble

fish and chip, we’re using everything we have

learnt over the years to bring proper British

dishes all with a quirky twist to the centre of

Nottingham for you marvellous folk to enjoy!

The restaurant really began to take shape

back in November 2014 with just the finishing

touches to be made, where we even found

Steven the seagull a home (look out for him, he's

usually at the bar... how typically British!).

A TALE OF TWO.

When it came to choosing the most

marvellous tipple to serve to you folks

of Nottingham, there was no question that from

the start, it could have only ever been gin!

No other drink in the world could ever compare

in our eyes to the sheer magic surrounding gin,

with its distinct taste transforming endlessly with

the addition of carefully selected botanicals.

Whether it’s delicate sweet notes, bitter or spicy

undertones, or a crisp dry flavour you prefer,

every gin has its very own personality… its very

own dimension of flavours which forever evolves!

The story behind it, the way it is crafted

carefully over months on end, the unique way

in which it changes its very essence depending

on the infusions, all adds up to one sensational

experience, so next time you go to reach out

for a vodka and any old mixer… don’t.

All specially developed by our team, using only

the most splendid gins, our own freshly prepared

The weather may well be typically British

splendid barbeque taste of our INKA grill, right

beside the seaside here in Nottingham!

We use pure British lump wood charcoal

to give a mouth-watering BBQ taste!

We only ever use sustainable fish and the most

premium cuts of meat we can lay our hands on.
