A GOLFING DREAMNOW A REALITY!

The beautiful 18-hole Nicklaus Design championship golf course opened to the golf ing world on 9 December 2015 - the f irst championship golf course to open in the UAE for over six years.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman, officially inaugurated the Al Zorah Golf Club in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid A l Nuaimi, Chairman of Al Zorah Development Company and Mr. Nasser Chammaa, Chairman of Solidere International as w e l l a s s e v e r a l o t h e r Sh e i k h s and dignitar ies. Over 40 golfers participating in a special opening were the very first to play the opening tou r n a ment event at t he Troon Golf-managed course, located just 25 minutes from Dubai International Airport.

The mesmerising Al Zorah Golf Club - set amongst a naturally-preserved environment of native sandy areas, lakes and some almost two million square metres of mangroves - opened its doors in style after months of high-profile media previews. Incorporating ten par-4’s, four par-5’s and four par-3’s, the course has already exposed golfers to the unique tidal system that changes the proposition of several holes depending on the tidal hours.

Two magnificently-kept lakes also feature, including one that plays a prominent part in the standout par-3, 15th hole.

This year has been a momentous one for Al Zorah even as we inaugurated our first project within the development – Al Zorah Golf Club.

A unique partnership between the Government of Ajman and Solidere International, our vision to build an iconic lifestyle destination in harmony with nature is now taking concrete shape. We have invested our resources heavily in providing the finest roads, infrastructure, landscaping and leisure and outdoor amenities to those with a penchant for contemporary living in a natural environment. We’re living up to our promises! A year ago we promised we would launch the golf club, and we did! We also promised the construction and delivery of the golf villas and fulf i l led this pledge. And al l throughout, we have announced regular updates on our infrastructure and roads and the two beach resorts.

HH Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi earlier this month inaugurated Al Zorah Golf Club; and the golf villas are rapidly rising; the roads and infrastructure for phase one is in place and the beach resorts are wel l on their way to their scheduled launch.

The Pavilion, Al Zorah’s uniquely designed and iconic structure, is the development's marquee edifice and its sales centre. This is where we introduce visitors to the over two million square metres of spectacular mangroves, part of which can be seen from atop the building. The Pavilion is the first project to be implemented on site Al Zorah, as part of the city's move towards a more sustainable design-led development.

Drop by the well-loved F&B outlet Shakespeare and Co.'s inaugural branch in Ajman at The Pavilion, already open to visitors. Come early on weekends as you could have to wait.

Next year will also see the opening of Thanani, a local eatery, designed with Ajman’s characteristics and with an Emirati influence.

The 150-seater amphitheater within The Pavilion has become a star attraction for many corporations in the UA E a s t he y ho ld se m i n a r s , conferences, presentations, for their customers or staff. The paths to all our projects under construction are being beautified through extensive landscaping and infrastructure development in order to provide a high level of service. Landscaping of the main entrance road to the development is already underway while roadworks to The Oberoi Al Zorah and LUX* Al Zorah

Having made this entry is prestigious enough and those who love a luxurious hotel will delight in the fact that early 2016 will see the The Oberoi Al Zorah resort open for business, bringing its signature Eastern hospitality with it. Upon the recommendations of The Oberoi, Al Zorah has appointed Mr. Burkhard Wolter as General Manager for The Oberoi Al Zorah in preparation for the opening and beyond. Mr Burkhard comes with over two decades of hospitality experience having worked in the Middle East with Shangri-La, Kempinski, Le Meridien and Four Seasons over the last eight years.

In order to ensure that movement within Al Zorah is easy, significant progress has been made with infrastructure construction and we’re exc ited to announce that the roadworks to all projects under construction are nearly complete.

The first of four state-of-the-art marinas at Al Zorah will open soon to boat and yacht owners! Sailing will become a reality at this spectacular destination. Marina One will offer berthing facilities for boat and yachts between 8 metres and 40 metres in length, as well as a park which will include F&B facilities, amenities and entertainment for family and friends.

Good news for investors who have bought property at the Golf Villas! They are rapidly rising as construction is underway in full swing. The first homeowners will be able to move into their homes this coming summer with all access roads being completed. This past September year we saw great interest generated at Cityscape Global 2015 , Dubai’s premier real estate and property show, as we launched yet another phase of golf living residential homes - the Golf Estates. The Golf Estates, is a gated community with a combination of villas, townhouses and apartments set on the 18-hole Nicklaus Design Golf Course within The Fairways district.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Al Zorah, visited the stand and met with several dignitaries and officials. The announcement received great media and public interest.

Currently, Al Zorah has over 1400 skilled professionals and workers on site, with the total number set to increase as the development progresses and more projects come online.
