A Glimpse ofWesak—A Short Essay— As the universe sends forth out of the darkness of space great Luminaries to introduce worlds and kingdoms to Their Light, Love and Life. So too, on earth, the WesakFestival represents that time (known by many as the full moon in Taurus) when the Buddha for eight minutes only once, each year returns, though at great cost but bearing great benefits to both humanity and the spiritual Hierarchy of the planet. In this, I was thinking how useful it might be for us to consider the Crisis of the Ideolog ies and the bringing of their focus for resolution through the most simple terms as representing the pinnacle of current world need seeking resolution and as a parallel to the pinnacle of the Wesak festival’s note, being sounded – or especially where the festival is well recognised as the overarching note each year, for all spiritual events or festivals. Or in the sense, through our linking or blending the two, have we, a most useful and accessible note, ofINVOCATIONor,that cry or calling forth through ideological crisis for resolution ‘and’, EVOCATION ‘or’, “the evocative response of the greater Life to that cry”. In this crisis of the ideologies therefore ‘the Tibetan’ Master Djwhal Khul well mentions, that “one basic premise, can be laid down: That the platform of the leading ideologies is not necessarily wrong or wicked; it is the imposition by force and by a police state of an ideology and its use by powerful men or groups for their own benefit plus, the keeping of the people in blind ignorance so that no free choice is theirs— which is fundamentally wicked and evil.” ( A Treatise on the Seven Ra ys, Vol.V:744 by the Tibetan.) With these thoughts in mind we might add in connection with Wesak the further idea, of the universal forces of Enlightenment the Buddha brings with Him passed on to the Christ Whom Himself embodying the universal forces of divine Love ‘together,’ though ‘initiated by’ the Buddha charge the bowl of water on the large flat rock – in the northeast end of the hidden valley – where the actual Ceremony takes place within the remote foothills of the Himalayan-Tibetan ranges. As a result, such water is then universally distributed through all the Masters, initiates and disciples and they in turn finally out, to all humanity. In the simplicity of this symbol of the ceremony – such forces of Light and Love – bring through, the needed resolving light and understanding to bear upon the ideological crisis going on throughout the various sectors of One Humanity. We have therefore in our beautiful “water ceremony of communion” also a simple yet profound symbol of the new age, which is upon us, the Aquarian Age: the age of the Water Carrier holding if we could but realise it the answer, to the worldwide crisis. Or how the simplicity of essential principles and virtues of Life embodied in such symbol properly function and circulate in contrast to, the many non-essential dictates or vices many are so encumbered under selfish living particularly causing concern when an ideology falls prey to an imposition by force and a police state plus, the keeping of the people in blind ignorance so that, no free choice or will (the life aspectproperly functioning,) is theirs. 1 1 Parts of this and the previous paragraph were taken from The Wesak Festiv al – A Technique ofSpiritual Contactbooklet, by Alice A.
