CONFERENCE LOCATIONFès or Fez (فـاس in Arabic) is one of the largest cities of Morocco, also the oldest city. It was built in 1206 years ago. Fez is one of the four so-called "imperial cities" (the others are Marrakech, Meknes and Rabat). The medina (old city), is an example of an oriental city and it is classified as a World Heritage Site. The special blue of its ceramics is one of the characteristic symbols of Fez. It has the largest town in the world, a single hydraulic clock in front of the BU'INANIYA mederssa and the oldest university in the World " Al Karaouine University ". Due to its past international influence, Fez is one of the capital cities of the Arabic-Muslim civilisation as Damascus, Bagdad, Cordoba, and Grenade...

According to a legend, the name of the city would come from the discovery of a pick (Arabic: فأـس [fa's], pick) on the first foundation site.
