If ever a school and a programme fit like a glove, without a doubt, it would be Don Bosco

International School and the International Baccalaureate Programme. Their tenets and

core values run parallel. DBIS follows the DB way or the Salesian way of life, the path

that Don Bosco set down to posterity. ‘Educating for a happy life in Don Bosco’s Way is a

unique contribution to the science of holistic education’. The International Baccalaureate

(IB) mission is to develop active, compassionate and lifelong learners; its programmes

fostering a distinctive set of attributes, embodied in the IB learner profile. Here at DBIS,

we encourage students to develop their natural curiosity as inquirers, to explore issues

and ideas of local and global significance, to apply thinking skills critically and creatively,

to understand and appreciate our own culture yet be open and accepting of others’

opinions and perspectives and most importantly to be caring, and respectful individuals

who will contribute to the global community.

To us it is IDBP – International Don Bosco Program, preparing our students for the rigours

of University life, the making of intellectuals, nurturing creative geniuses and every one of

them resilient, successfully qualifying for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.

At DBIS, our focus has and will always be the student, mentored to face the challenges of

IBDP. No effort will be spared as we transform our teenagers into formidable professionals,

to be welcomed in universities across the globe and subsequently by multinationals keen to

absorb talent, that may be available from our gen-next entrepreneurs. Don Bosco pedagogy

is a rich legacy of focused attention to the overall development of the child, honing their

senses to feel the changes in a dynamic world and swiftly adapt to it. They are not survivors,

but leaders who will lead the survivors to a better environment.
