Caeli Angels Needed for Easter Salubong

Salubong is a Filipino Catholic Easter tradition of the Risen Lord Jesus meeting his Blessed Mother Mary. What Joy it is when the two met and angels burst into Alleluias and the Regina Caelis Hymn. Alleluia the Lord is Risen. Queen of Heaven Rejoice.

Salubong starts at 5:00am. We gather at the narthex at 4:45am for a candlelight procession. Mass then starts at 5:30am.

Angels are needed and there is still time to sign up by calling Fiona Silverio at (916) 521-8144 or Grace Federizo at (916)

792-3412. We urge parents to encourage their little boys and girls, ages 5 to 9 years old, to be part of this Easter morning traditions. They should be dressed in white with angel wings, if possible. Rehearsal is tentatively set for Saturday morning before Easter, time to be advised to all parents and angels.

Rachel’s Vineyard Healing Retreat

"Neither do I condemn you..."

Those who choose abortion are our daughters, sons, husbands, wives, sisters, brothers, relatives, friends and members of our parish communities. The impact and pain of abortion hurts - even years after the experience.

If you, or a loved one have been hurt by abortion, this weekend is for you. The retreat takes place in Sacramento the weekend of May 15-17, 2020. Come and experience God’s healing love and forgiveness in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. Open to men and women. The cost is $175 per person; financial assistance is available to those who need it.

Call Paula Segno at (916) 733-0161 or send an email to [email protected] for more information. All inquiries are strictly confidential. Interested in sponsoring a participant? Please contact Paula for information.
