Welcome back to A Fairytale Legacy. It’s been a while since I’ve updated, so let’s have a short refresh:

When we last left off the main story, Vassilissa was about to take part in a vague but evil ritual that would

grant Caroline power to dominate the Fairytale Woods. Fortunately enough, Scarlet returned (as explained

in the Interlude) and saved the day. Back at home, Jasmine was alone, and death came to catch her before

she knew it. It was a bittersweet ending for the Fantasy family.

There were still some things that had to be discussed…



“Dad? Are you going to join us?”



“Robin, maybe you should go get some rest or something,” one of his guests said. They others began to

chime in in agreement.

“I’m fine, honestly. I really am fine.”



“Scarlet, I think it’s you best if you talk tonight.”

“What is there to talk about? I thought you were going to speak, dad…”



“Is there nothing that you have to say?”

“I…” Scarlet knew in her heart that she had an immense amount that she had to say.



“Okay… fine.”



“To all of you… each and every single one of you’re here… I have to be honest. You guys are all my family

and I care about you all, whether I’ve only known you for a short amount of time or if I’ve known you all my

life.”



“I have a lot to apologize for. I’ve done a lot of things that I am not proud of.”

“But you saved us all!” her cousin Begonia said.

“That I may have did, but it doesn’t account for all of the… the lies and the things that I’ve kept behind you

all.”



“Everybody has secrets, but I have secrets that are dark and that I should’ve never kept from you. Some of

them could’ve led us all to disaster. I’m glad that they didn’t. And I just want to say that I really hope that

we can start over and forget about all of the secrets that I’ve kept.”



“What secrets?”



“She doesn’t have to tell if she doesn’t want to…”

“If she confessed having secrets we might as well no what they are!”

“It’s her decision, people, we can’t pressure her!”



“I’ll tell you.”



“I only ask that when you realize everything…”



“… you don’t judge me too harshly.”



“Oh my god! What is she?”

“Scarlet! Scarlet!”



Everyone had leapt up from their chairs and looked worriedly at Scarlet. As the blinding light faded and

Scarlet floated back to the floor dressed in red robes, everyone began to realize what she had been talking

about.

“I’m a witch,” she confirmed.



Christopher rushed up to her. “Scarlet, why didn’t you tell us this before?”

“I only found out when I was gone… but even before then I had all of the secret scientific stuff and all of

the projects and neglect and—”



Scarlet broke into a hysterical fit of tears.



Even though it was easy to be furious at Scarlet for all of her quietness about her hidden life as a truly madscientist and all of her projects that she had replaced her family with, it was also easy to see that she truly

did regret it.



They all gathered around her, placing their hands on her shoulders. It was comforting.



Nobody uttered a word. They all took their steps back and looked at Scarlet solemnly.

“Scarlet, we love you. When we say that you need to stop this, it’s because we will always have you in our

hearts, and you are always a part of this family. We’ll leave you here knowing that when we return, you’ll

have made the right choices,” Jack whispered.



The family left swiftly and silently, leaving Christopher, Scarlet and Robin alone in the room.



“Chrostopher, I can’t change being a witch. It’s who I am, and I’m sorry if you can’t accept that.”

“Scarlet…”

“I promise that I’ll stop all of the secret keeping and doing things behind your back, I promise



“We’ve been through so much,” Chris said so silently that only Scarlet could hear, “but in my heart, I’veforgiven you a hundred times.”

“I love you,” Scarlet said, trying to fight back more tears.



“Good job, Scarlet,” Robin said. “I couldn’t be more proud of my daughter.



“Are you going to come up to bed, dad?”

“I think I’ll just stay here for a while. I’d like a bit of peace and quiet for a few more minutes, if that’s alright.

Goodnight, Scarlet.”

“Thank you, dad… for everything.”



When they weren’t enjoying their time together, the two of them had taken part time jobs to supportthemselves and their daughters while Scarlet looked for another job in the education field.

It left Chris time to take part in some hobbies, like stargazing.



Unfortunately, he hadn’t taken notice of them time he spent at the telescope.



He had spent most of his life believing that aliens were simply a myth, as with all supernatural creatures.However, upon learning that his wife was witch and that some of his family’s archenemies were vampires

and werewolves, he decided that there were probably many things he didn’t know.



“OH MY GOD! I’VE BEEN ABDUCTED, SOMEBODY HELP ME!” He was still feeling rather delirious, andscreamed for help, along with other jibberish that he didn’t quiet comprehend himself.

If anyone would know about what had just happened to him, it would be Scarlet.



“Scarlet? Are you in here?”

“Right here, darling. What’s the matter? Where were you?”

“Well…”



“I was sort of abducted by aliens.”

“Are you serious?! That’s amazing, Chris! Oh, think about how interesting this is going to be!” Her reaction

was far more relaxed than he had expected it to be.

“Interesting? What are you talking about? That was probably the scariest experience of my life!”



“Oh, I’ll tell you all about it later. We did a huge research project on the process of alien abduction at thelab.” She paused for a moment and took a deep breath. “Christopher, I have some news.”

“Yes, Scarlet?”

“I’m pregnant.”



It took a while for Scarlet to explain the process of how Chris had become pregnant in the first place, buthe could only see it from a familial point of view, and was hopelessly confused about all of the details.



Nevertheless, he received a lot of attention and help from Scarlet, and he returned the favor. They weregoing to be the parents of two new children, and alien or not, they refused to let the color of it’s skin get in

the way of how they felt towards their new children.



Besides, Scarlet found the task of trying to establish a closer relationship with her daughter a lot morechallenging.

“May I sit with you, sweetie?”

“Sure, mom.”



“How was school today?” she asked, trying to sound casual.

“Oh, it was good. I’m finally starting to catch up with my classes, so it’s fun. I think art is best for me. I’m

terrible at chemistry, sadly.”



“Well, you do know that I was a scientist, before… well…” she stopped and realized that Vassilissa’sexpression changed. “What I’m saying is that you can ask me for help if you ever need it.”

“Thanks, Mom.” There was still tension in the air, but their relationship had improved a lot.



Eventually, it got to the point that Vassilissa felt comfortable enough with her mother to wish hergoodnight, exchange embraces and have long conversations that only mothers and daughters could have.

It was a good feeling.



“This experience has taught me that I really pity pregnant mothers,” Chris said.

“Oh, don’t be silly, Chris. It’s a great feeling to be pregnant, knowing that you share a bond with something

inside you. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing between mother… or father, and child.”



Eventually, it came time for the new children to be born.

“Chris! Chris! Call my father, quick!”



“The baby’s coming, it’s coming NOW!”

She shook her arms and demanded that Chris help, but suddenly, he was writing in pain just like she was.



“Oh my god, oh my goodness, what the… I’m giving birth! WHERE DOES THE BABY COME OUT OFANYWAY?!”



After several moments of severe pain and a lot of screeching (mostly from Christopher), two new babyboys welcomed the family.

Scarlet held a new baby in her hands. She looked at his eyes, and then decided to name him Carmine.



Although Christopher was holding a green baby, it didn’t take away from the love he felt for his second son.In fact, he named the baby Sirius, after the brightest star in the sky.



It was a very joyous moment for both Scarlet and Chris. Carmine and Sirius would be welcomed byeveryone in the family.



Meanwhile, Vassilissa was starting to make friends. Melody Tinker was one of her classmates from herCosmetology and Fashion class, and after seeing Vassilissa’s first project, Melody had asked for a makeover.

“I’m tired of my hair being all tied up like this, and your project was great. I trust that you can do a great

job.”



Vassilissa was definitely not the best stylist around, but she had a certain way of working with her scissorsthat was admirable. She made a few snips at Melody’s hair, trying out her cutting on a real person for the

first time.



The results were very good.

“Thank you so much, Vass! You know, you should apply for one of this high fashion boutiques orsomething! They have a new one in the village, and it’s actually pretty close to my house. It’s an outlet of Louisette. You should come over, and then we can go over there together or something.”

“That’d be great, Melody. Thanks.”



Despite Melody’s invitation, Vassilissa didn’t think much of her fashion sense and style. All she did was

minor work in her room using small pieces of fabric. It wasn’t much, and Louisette was one of the most

famous brands all over SimCity and the surrounding regions. It had models from Belladonna Cove, reknown

stylists and influentional business men.

It was worth a try, and since her life’s goal was to own five top businesses, she would have to start taking as

many opportunities as she could.



“Vassi! What’s up?”

“Uh… I was wondering if we could maybe go into Bluewater Village and see that new Louisette outlet? We

could take Jillian and Jacqui with us if you wanted…”



“That sounds like a great idea. It’ll be a girls day out,” Scarlet said. Vassilissa smiled, but Scarlet quickly

added, “We’re probably not going to be able to go for a few days, though. There are going to be quite a bit

of birthdays in the family.”

Malcolm was the first boy of the fourth generation to become a teenager, and was very excited to finally be

growing up.



Although he was younger than Vassilissa and Grace, he would be going to the University with them when

they decided it was time to leave.



Back at the castle, Carmine and Sirius were ready to grow up. Scarlet wanted her baby boys to have a

smaller festivity, though, because later on that day, her two twin daughters would be growing up as well.



Their party might not have been as big as they would have wanted, but nobody could deny that Carmine

and Sirius were absolutely adorable.



“It’s my birthday, it’s my birthday, hooray! I’m going to get tons of presents and the whole family is going to

be here to celebrate and it’ll be the perfect day!”



“Balloons, decorations, presents and cake! This is just what a princess needs for her special day!”



“Jacqueline! Before we grow up, I have to tell you a special secret. But you have to pinky promise not to tell

anybody in the world.”

“I promise.”



“Will you be a princess with me in court one day when we’re all grown up?”



“Don’t you want to ask Carmen?” Jacqueline said, a little sadly. “She’s your best friend out of the whole

family.”



“Don’t be silly, Jacqui. Nobody is a better friend than you are to me. And no matter what anybody says, you

will always be my princess sister forever and ever.”



From then on, there were so many changes that occurred rapidly in the direct and extended Fantasy family.



Over at the Goodytwoshoes family, Gertrude had her birthday and grew up into a young girl. Although she

appeared quiet at first glance, she was wacky and bizarre, wearing bright pink dresses, tie-dyed scarves

and sunglasses.



Just as her sister grew up, so did Emilia.



It also meant sharing a room with her bizarre-minded sister, who placed rather odd paintings and posters

up on the walls of the girly pink room.



“I don’t understand why my sister doesn’t like this painting! It’s florally whimsical and exciting!”



The Nigmos children also had birthdays to attend to. The four quadruplets were turning thirteen, just like

all of their cousins in their wave of the generation.



As teenagers, the girls and boys got many opportunities to go on dates. Jacqueline particularly enjoyed

meeting new boys and living up to her romance sim standards.



If anything, she encouraged her cousin Malcolm…



… and Carmen to take part in many, many dates.



Jillian was mingling with new friends,



And Lyra painted her beautiful pictures.

All of the children were enjoying their teen years, which were filled with dates and drama, hobbies and

homework and fun for everyone.

After the few weeks of birthday parties, it was time for a promised visit to Louisette.

Louisette was a famous– and expensive– fashion industry. Its founders, the Pierre family, named it after

their youngest daughter, the current President of the entire company. Recently, they had set up a boutique

in Bluewater Village and business was booming.



“I hope you don’t mind coming too much, Mal.”

“Not at all,” he said, “though I’m not sure what you want me to do, after all.”

“Hmm… you might be able to help grandma with those floral prints, after all.” The two of them chuckled.



“Brown is good… but burgundy is totally me…” Jillian was up to her own personal shopping while her

mother and sisters looked around for the President.



“Good morning, miss. How can I help you?” The clerk asked. She was no older than Vassilissa, but she

sounded very sophisticated.

“Hi, my name is Vassilissa. I called in about a week ago to speak with the owner about a job. Is she here?”

“You can find her on the top floor, actually. Take the elevator to the third floor. Good luck!”



“Bonsoir, madamoiselle.”

“Uh… good afternoon. I was here because I wanted to speak to you… about a job,” Vassilissa said. The

woman did not get up from her seat.



“Uh… Miss Pierre?”

“Yes, mon cheris?”

“I wanted to—”



“I heard you, darling,” she said bluntly. “Well?”



“Well what?” Vassilissa asked. The encounter did not seem to be going as she had expected it would be.

“Well, what do you want?”

“I told you, I—” she stopped short and then realized that she needed to watch her tone. “I, uh, I was just

very interested in talking to you about a job.”



“Yes,” Vassilissa said.

“I am glad that you have come to me, mademoiselle… Fantasy, oui? I can offer you this: the application

process is only available to students in Academie classes, and it is by far one of the most difficult processes

that we go through at Louisette. They occur every year at the start of term. It is a long, gruelling process, I

assure you, amd I do not tolerate low dedication.”



“I’m dedicated, and I’ll be in the University soon. I can show you my designs, and if you give me the chance,

I will show you that I am a very talented girl.”

“You are brave to speak, madamoiselle. This is something I appreciate.” Louisette smiled. “You will come to

me at the start of University term, my dear. Then we will see whether you fashion abilities will permit you a

spot in our business.”



“I’d like that.”

“Vassi, mom’s downstairs. She’s paying, so if you’re done, we’ve got to go.” Jillian appeared out of nowhere

to the ladies’ surprise.



“Thank you, Madame Pierre. I appreciate it!”

“ Au revoir, young ladies. I will see you again, Vassilissa. Tata!”



There was something about this girl that inspired Lousette. She could see the girl in the application process

already. She would go far.

Begonia Danaher enjoyed her life after University. She went on tons of dates, partied at clubs and even got

to the top of the Slacking career, making her a professional party guest at several of the local joints. Shehad lived truly pleasurable life so far.



There was one date she had she’d spent time with on several occasions. Chester Gieke was a little odd at

times, but Begonia thought him to be the cutest, sincerest and most charming out of all the men andwomen she’d had encounters with.



Their relationship developed into something much more than Begonia thought it would, but Chester made

her happier than anyone else, and so, after months of dating and spending time together, they tied theknot and got married in the backyard of her house.



Most things led to others, and soon enough, Begonia was pregnant with her first child.



Although they were not as close with the other side of the family, the important thing was that the

Danahers were very happy. Marigold had a wonderful teenage daughter, Begonia and Chester were happilymarried with their firstborn son, Hawthorne, and John and Meadow had a prosperous and precious

marriage.



Meadow’s death brought great sadness to John and his daughters. The night she died was the most

difficult. He and Marigold spent many hours mourning in front of her grave, while Chester comfortedBegonia and her adopted niece in the house.

There were other things going on that night…



I had been in the middle of brewing some old recipe from one of the many potion books I had acquired

when my sister came barging into the secret room, looking bewildered.

“Mikey! Come quickly!”



“What’s wrong, Ana?”

“There’s a huge crowd… angry fairies... Creepy monsters… come on!”



I had no idea what was waiting for me out the door.



“Oh… my… lord.”



“So you’re the creator of this universe, eh? About time, don’t you think so?”

“Who…?”



“We represent the angry folk of the Fairytale Forests, and we’ve come here to express our anger at the

ignorance of the creator of this universe! We’ve lived in the shadows for years, and it’s about time that weget some recognition! Who’s with me?” The woman darned in purple shouted, and the crowd agreed with

angry shouts.



“Ana… get the simselves awake and ready. We’ve got some guests to satisfy…”

While I was dealing with the magical creatures of the Fairytale Forests, suspicious activity was taking place

in the University.



Omega Psi Rho was particularly safe, but not even the most heavily guarded buildings could fend against a

true criminal mastermind.



Jade Long walked back from the grocery store, having no idea what was about to happen to her.



With a clang and a clamor, blasts came from inside the building that shook the walls, the floors and the

ground around the house.

Author’s Notes:

It’s been a long, long time since the last time I updated. I forgot what it was like to

write and to do this, but I’m glad that I’m back into it. The updating schedule has

been a bit inconsistent, but if you’re reading this, thanks for keeping up with me.

The main reason for the wait is just real life issues regarding school, work and

family and it hasn’t been easy. It is getting better though.



This chapter was really hard to write because it’s a transition between twodifferent plots that are taking place. I find it hard to do these transitions but I hope

I did okay. The next chapter is styled differently (writing first, pictures second) so

we’ll see if that changes anything.

Next time, we’ll get the answers to these questions: What exactly happened at theGreek House? What is Vassilissa getting herself into? What are the villains planning

and what on earth am I going to do about all the magical creatures waiting on my

doorstep? All these questions and more will be revealed in the next update. No

promises on when, but if I can get my act together and sort all the pictures,

hopefully soon. I want to get a Halloween special out because that’s somethingthat I really enjoy doing.
