Fused pyrimidine derivativesR 0515 A Facile Synthesis of New Tetrahydropyrido[4,3-d]pyrimidine Derivatives. —

Pyrimidine derivatives (IV) are synthesized by reaction of 1-benzylpiperidin-2-one with different nitriles in the presence of triflic anhydride.
