current impeachment drama in the House. This is why I believe that the census and the elec-tions are so important to us and our children's children. If we as Prince Georgians are under counted; it means that we are going to be under funded by the Federal Government for the next ten years (the next cen-sus). When we get less funding, WE as taxpay-ers must make up the difference in funds!!! You pay more because the Government pays less based on the census count. The Government cuts the funding for educat-ing our children by un-der-resourcing based on low census counts. I be-lieve that under-funded education leads to prison terms and state foster care of our children. I believe that quality edu-cation leads to more pro-ductive citizens and less burden on our commu-nity. “Education is the Bridge to Excellence”. We need to support the Kirwan Commission Blueprint for Education in Maryland School.
My 2020 New Year's Resolution
I would like to wish everyone of you a prosperous New Year! I usually begin my new year by making some resolution or promise, such as I am going to exercise, diet and lose weight. This is one of those promis-es that I never seem to be able to keep. But this year I made more of a commitment than a promise. I placed two things at the top of my 2020 “to do list.” I plan to partici-pate in the US Census count this coming March or April and I will participate in the upcoming Presidential Election. Finally, two New Year's resolu-tions that I can keep because both of these event outcomes will effect me, you and our loved ones for years to come! The census is taken only once every ten years. Every resident is counted in order to adequately provide for public services. It's about $675 billion dol-
lars of federal funds, grants and support to states, counties and communities that are based on census data. This is money spent on our schools, hospitals, Medicare, daycare, roads, public works and other programs. It's also about redis-tricting; after each
decade's census, state officials redraw the boundaries of congres-sional and state legisla-tive districts in their states to account for population shifts. So that means that the re-sults of the census are used to reapportion the House of Representa-tives, determining how many seats each state gets. We can bear wit-ness to how this is playing out right be-fore our eyes with the

President’s Message continued… Make sure that we are ALL counted in the 2020 US Census.
I would like to close by thanking the directors and on-site staff (Gloria, Ron and Rick) for the great work they do to make the Pines One Community a place you can be proud to call home. Their hard work is the reason there is no increase of assessment fees in our proposed 2020-2021 budget. It is my honor to work with all of them!

A TIP FROM THE MAINTENANCE STAFF (RON & RICK)
Please pour cooled cooking grease or oil into an appropriate container, wipe the pot/
pan with a paper towel to remove remaining grease, then put the container and paper
towel in the trash. Grease can accumulate over time and cause sewer backups in
your pipes as well as the main line.
Thank you for your cooperation!
