Thaddeus Pryor a junior at Colorado College was barred fromstepping foot on campus for six months for a social media postthe Colorado Springs Gazette reported
On the social media app Yik Yak a post readblackwomenmatter Pryor responded with They mattertheyre just not hot
Pryor says he immediately regretted his remark ldquoI was ashamedbecause some people were clearly upsetrdquo Pryor told The CollegeFix ldquoSo I deleted itrdquo
But the damage had already been done The next day the studentcenter was filled with banners of many of the racial commentsposted to Yik Yak mdash including Pryors post
Pryor went before the schools student life disciplinary panelwhere he was accused of posting almost all of the offensive postsThe College Fix reported
Yik Yak is an anonymous social media app that lets people postor yak to people in a 10shymile radius Pryor admitted to theschools administration that he was behind the post about blackwomen but said he was not the author of any of the other posts
The school initially suspended Pryor for 21 months lessening thesentence to six months after his request for an appeal Howeverthe school refused to give him a new hearing
