Association Activities 2015 - 2016The GAHK Annual dinner, our annual “big bash”. As always, a lot of our gem buddies were there. It was our pleasure to have Mr Stanley Lau as our guest of honour (Fig. 2) and we were delighted to see Alan Hodgkinson again (Fig. 3) as the representative of Gem-A. Sincere congratulations to all the graduates (Figs. 4 and 5). We wish them continued success. Thanks to all the directors (Fig. 1), and especially to the annual dinner working team for making it a great success once again. We hope to see you all at this year’s event in November.

As usual, we arranged a series of seminars. Particularly significant to GAHK was the launch of the updated Hong Kong Standard Testing Methods for Fei Cui (1). We were proud to have such renowned gemmologists, as Mr Alan Hodgkinson (2), Mr C.K. Chan, Prof. Dr Henry A. Hänni (3), Dr Hu Chuyan (1), Dr Joe C.C. Yuan (6), Dr Michael S. Krzemnicki (4), Dr Miro Ng and Mr Tommy K.W. Tsui (8) as our speakers. We were glad to have a formal meeting with Gem-A representatives, Charles Evans, Andrew Fellows and Elaine Ruddie (5). Our Chairman, Mr K.K. Chow (9) was invited to present a seminar on the Brand Establishment of Chuk Kam Jewellery. And last but not least, sincere thanks to the booth working team (7) for arranging four booths in a year.
