2012  Tippecanoe School Corporation is the first school corporation in the state to 

have propane‐fueled buses.LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) ‐ Propane school buses are making their way to Indiana and Tippecanoe School Corporation (TSC) is the first and only

In 1963 Fay O. Wainwright donated thirty acres to TSC to build a school which would be named in honor of her parents.  Every year the Wainwright High School band would serenade Miss Wainwright 

on her birthday.
