Lockbody

Introducing the SD8, a restyling of the classic SD7. We’ve given the SD7 a facelift, providing it a more contemporary look. The SD8 is a reliable, all-metal mortice lock for sliding security doors having a latch beak that is retracted by operation of either an outside or inside lever. Once latched it may be deadlocked (or unlocked) from either side by a key. The SD8 can be locked or unlocked from the interior using a sliding snib, without the need for a key. The SD8 Plus has a steel catch plate and steel beak to provide additional jemmy resistance.

Stylish slim design.

O!set lever and snib provide increased knuckle clearance.

Self-latching lock beak engages automatically when the door is closed.

Fixing screws only accessible from the inside, giving improved security.

Anti-lift pin on catch plate engages the lock body to prevent the sliding door being lifted out of its tracks.

Interior sliding snib is employed for quick and convenient locking without the need to use a key.

Suits left and right handed doors.

Australian design and manufacture.

Can be used with SD14Plus, S14R and S14RA multipoint kits.
