Principals Report contd...

What I look forward to for next year By 1SP

This is a very exciting and nervous time for us all. We are thinking about what might happen in our new class. We will have a new teacher, new friends, a new classroom and new inquiries to explore. Some of us are nervous and a bit worried about all these changes, but we’re excited too. We hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday and we all meet again in 2013! Sahitya: I hope I won’t have to use my rubber too much. Mohammad: I hope my writing keeps improving. Heyam: I look forward to getting better at maths next year. Jacob: Next year I hope I’m better than this year at doing maths

and the rest. Dion: I look forward to writing even more than I usually write. Zosia: I look forward to making new friends. Kyra: I hope my teacher doesn’t have to growl at me! Bella: I am looking forward to learn about the new inquiries. Kai: I want to be able to write more than 2 pages! Katrin: I look forward to exploring some new inquiries. Achint: I want to do more than 2 pages of work, to make new

friends and to not talk so much when I am writing. Kiannah: I am looking forward to reading new chapter books. Corey: I look forward to meeting my new teacher. Millie: I am looking forward to knowing about my teacher. Matthew: I want to write more than 4 pages of story and I want to

learn more and more and more maths. Mariam: I am looking forward to learn more things and writing. Deklyn: I am looking forward to doing some new work.

Levi: It will be exciting to see my new teacher and make new friends. Paris: I hope I don’t be silly in grade 2, do my work really well and

concentrate on writing and doing maths properly.

STAFF FAREWELLS

We would like to say good-bye and thank you to a number of staff members who are exploring other opportunities from

next year.

Firstly we say farewell to Mrs. Theodora McGlade, who was one of the original staff members of Seabrook and thank her

for many years of service and dedication to the children at the school. We are also sad to say good-bye to Miss Rebecca

Carr, Mrs. Annalisa O’Donovan, Mrs. Kelleigh Evans, Miss Alicia Cook, Miss Lalita Vijendram, and Miss Alanna Salt.

Some teachers are taking the opportunity to travel and others have employment in other schools. We wish them well and

appreciate the ways they have contributed to Seabrook during their time here.

We say thank you to Mrs. Karen Cook, Mrs. Aycha Mourad for their support teaching roles this year. They have supported

many children with literacy.

We are pleased to welcome back Mrs. Milka Kovacevic (formally Crnjac) and Miss Genevieve Gething, great teachers

returning to Seabrook in 2013.

A very big thank you to all the teaching staff, office staff, support staff, canteen and grounds staff for their valued

contributions to our school over 2012.

All the staff at Seabrook would like to wish all our families a wonderful time over Christmas and the New Year. We thank

you for your ongoing support at school and learning program. We will see you again for book collection day on

Wednesday 23rd

January, 2013 and then when the children in grades 1-6 start back on the 30th January and preps the

following week.

Just a reminder school finishes at 1.30pm this Friday after our whole school assembly in the courtyard.

Have a safe and happy time with family and friends over the break, see you in 2013
