Library Information and Management System (LIMS)
Library Information and Management System (LIMS), a unique library system, has been designed, developed, implemented and fully tested by library professionals. This is the first software which the Group is not only distributing free of cost but also provides its training and support through messenger, email, phone or visits to the libraries. LIMS is being used in more than 50 libraries, of every type, i.e., academic, special, and public libraries not only in Pakistan but also in Middle East.

Some very prestigious Pakistani educational institutions are using LIMS and a team of group members provide support and training locally in Islamabad, Punjab and NWFP. Web OPAC for LIMS, www.paklag.org/nulhr , has been tested and will be distributed among the users of LIMS free of cost.

Adding a photograph of Member
For photo: Scan your photo and save in the “Image folder” & name shouldbe same as Member Id and extension must be bmp (e. g. for member Id 1200 It should be1200.bmp) . “Images” Folder is available along with the LIMS.mde database. Please don’tchange the name of this “Images” folder.Give Expiry date of the Member in the “Expiry date “ field.Saving Pictures in Image folder will reduce the database size and increase the speed of thedatabase.

New Member categorySelect Main and double click category. Here one can add or edit category according to one's requirements.

Searching the DatabaseTitle Search:
Select Main and double click search title. Type any word of title and click OK.

Browse Islam and LiteratureTransliteration varies from person to person due to absence of transliteration's standards for local languages. For the ease of users software provides the facility of browsing on said subjects. Select Main and double click Islam & Literature

Books Issued to a MemberSelect main and Double click books issued to me type the Roll No and click OK.

ReportsAll search options are available in Reports for printing of the search results in a good format. Select reports then double click the required search criteria e.g. title, author etc.

Book Issue HistorySelect reports and double click specific book issue history type the accession no and click OK.

ReminderFor reminder on overdue books. Select reports and double click Reminder, type number of days and click OK. If one type 30 in box, report will prepare reminders against those books which are overdue more than 30 days

Books Issued, returned today
Select reports and double click Books Issued Today to check how many books issued today. Similarly select reports and double click Books Returned Today to check how many books returned today.

CirculationSelect Circulation and double click Issue, Return, Fine today, Issued today, Return today and Status of specific book

Select Circulation and double click Issue. Type accession no. of the book and press enter key or click search button. Now type member ID or Roll No. and press enter key. A message “Book is issued successfully” will appear. Click ok or press enter key. System will give issue date from system date & due date according to the member category.
To Issue a Book

To Return a Book Select Circulation and double click Return. Type accession no. of the book then click return button or just press enter key. A message “Book is returned from Roll No. xyz” will appear. Click ok or press enter key. The book is returned and system will fine on overdue book according to member category.

Status of a Specific Book Select Circulation and double click Status of Specific Book. Type
accession no. of the book and click search button or press enter key. For more detail of this book click the button Book Detail and for detail of
member whom book is issued, click the button Member Detail.

Books Returned Today Select Circulation and double click Books Returned Today. One can check how many books have been returned today.

Spine Label and Accession RegisterSpine Label for Regular Accession Numbers:- Select Spine label and Acc. Reg. Double click Sticker from Regular ACCNO. Type accession no. from onward you want stickers and click ok or press enter key. Print preview of sticker will appear. Now using a specific sheet of seven stickers one can get its print.

Spine Label for Irregular Accession Numbersselect Spine label and Acc. Reg. Double click Sticker from irregular ACCNO. Type accession nos. separating by comma (,) whose stickers are required and click ok or press enter key. Print preview of sticker will appear. Now using a specific sheet of seven stickers one can get its print.

Accession Register Select Spine label and Acc. Reg. Double click Accession Register. Type first and last accession no. and click print sign or press enter key. Print preview will appear and one can get its print using legal size papers.

StocktakingSelect stocktaking and double click Stocktaking. Type accession nos. of all available books. Double click Stocktaking Report. Print preview of stocktaking report will appear. One can get its print.
