900 SERIES MODULAR SECTIONS

• Fostoria900SeriesSectionswithaparabolicreflector(Fig.1),deliver infraredenergyacrossa130degreepatternwiththereflectedinfrared inatighter65degreepattern.Moreenergycanbedeliveredtothe productwiththeparabolicshape.

• Competitorsectionswithareflectorintegraltotheheatsource(Fig.2), disperseinfraredenergyacrossa180degreepattern.

• Threedifferentreflectorwidthsareavailable:5½”,11”,and16½” wideparabolicreflectors.Thisallowsthecustomertomatchthepower densityoftheequipment(wattspersquareinch)totheapplication.

• Sectionsareofferedinthreedifferentwidths:51⁄2”,11”,and161⁄2”. The11”widesectionscanbepurchasedwithone11”reflectorortwo 5 1⁄2”widereflectors.The161⁄2”widesectioncanbepurchasedwith one 16 1⁄2”reflectororthree51⁄2”widereflectors. • Avarietyoflengthsareoffered:11”,16”,22”,31”,44”,55”,and66”. Theselengthsareavailableinallsectionwidths.

• 900seriessectionsaredesignedsotheycanbeboltedtogether sidebysideorendtoend.Thismakesthefabricationoflargeheat bankspossible.

• Parabolicreflectorsareformedfromgoldanodizedaluminum. Thesereflectorsareapproximately85%efficientwhennew.Anormal maintenancescheduleusingnon-abrasiveliquidcleanerswillkeepthe reflectorsatahighdegreeofreflectingefficiency.

• Forhightemperatureapplications,stainlesssteelreflectors arerecommended.

• Quartzlampsandquartztubescanbeusedinthe900series modularsections.

• 900seriesmodularsectionsincludesturdyceramicSO9sockets. Thesocketprovidesaneasypositivemeansforconnectingtheheat sourceleads.

• Heatsourcescanbewiredinseries,parallel,orinanycombinationto suittheprocessandcontrolrequirements.
