VACANCY CIRCULAR

Subject: Filling up 64 (Sixty Four) posts of Assistant Professor in Academic Level —10 (UGC) of the Pay Matrix (Rs.57,700-1,82,400) on Deputation basis in SCERT

It is proposed to fill up 64 (Sixty Four) posts of Assistant Professor in Academic Level — 10 (UGC) of the Pay Matrix (Rs.57,700-1,82,400) on Deputation basis in SCERT. The discipline-wise detail of posts is available in Annexure-A.

2. Eligibility Conditions:

Deputation: Regular teaching staff of Directorate of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi-

(a) Having 05 (Five) years of service in 'Level 8 of Pay Matrix OR Having 07 (Seven) years of service in Level 7 of Pay Matrix OR Having 10 (Ten) years of service in Level 6 of Pay Matrix, AND

(b) Possessing the educational qualifications prescribed in Annexure-A

6. List of duties attached to the post of Assistant Professor: i. Pre-service Training of students of D.EI.Ed., DPSE and B.Ed. ii. Conduct of INSET trainings iii. Material and Curriculum development iv. Research

7 Regulation of pay and other terms of deputation: The pay of the selected candidate will be regulated under the provisions

contained in the DoPT 0. M. No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay-II) dated 17.06.2010 as amended time to time.

8. Age-limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding 56

years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

9. Period of deputation: • The Period of deputation including period of deputation spent in any other ex-

cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Government or State Government shall ordinarily not exceed 5 years, or as amended by the Govt. from time to time.

10. The crucial date for determining eligibility will be the last date of receipt of applications.

11. The interested eligible candidates may submit on-line application through application format available on official website of Directorate of Education www.edudel.nic.in under link RRs/Recruitment with heading 'Recruitment/Engagement during 2020-2021 (SCERT), subheading 'filling up posts of Assistant Professor on deputation'.

The last date for submitting on-line applications forms is 28.02.2021.

12. The candidate must ensure, before submitting application forms, that he/she will be relieved immediately by Directorate of Education in case of his/her selection in SCERT on deputation.

13. The candidate must be free from vigilance angle and there should be no penalty running at the time of submission of application form.

14. The candidates who apply for the post will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently.

• ANNEXURE-A

Candidate must possess following educational qualifications for appointment on deputation:

i. M.Ed., with at least 55% marks from a recognized Indian University OR

MA (Education) with at least 55% marks and B.Ed.

ii. Master's degree in subject, mentioned against each discipline in Column no. 5 of the following table, with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university

Relaxation in % of Marks in Educational Qualifications at Master's Level shall be available as per Clause 3.4(1) and Clause 3.5 of UGC Regulations 2018.

iii. National Eligibility Test (NET) in subject, mentioned against each discipline in Column no. 6 of the following table, conducted by the UGC/CSIR or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./ Ph.D. Degree) Regulation, 2009, or, 2016, and their amendments from time to time, as the case may be, shall be exempted from NET.

Provided that the candidates registered for the MPhil/Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances / Bye-laws / Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET, subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:

a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode only; b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners; c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted; d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one is in a

Refereed journal; e) The candidate has presented at least two papers, based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars

sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.
