EEPC India Invites Participation forInternational Technical Fair 2013, Plovdiv, Bulgaria
(30 September - 05 October 2013)The International Technical Fair (ITF) is the most renowned Bulgarian forum of investment goods and technologiesin southeastern Europe. The International Technical Fair gives an opportunity to world’s leading companies in machinebuilding, automobiles, transport, electronics, electrical engineering, construction, power engineering, informationtechnologies, software products, ecology, etc. to showcase their strength in this important fair.
The 69th edition of The International Technical Fair (ITF) will be held in Plovdiv fairgrounds which is amodern exhibition venue, designed to display all kinds of exhibits, spread on an area of 352,000 sqm. The exhibitionspace totals approx. 159,100 sqm, the indoor area is 64,500 sqm, while the outdoor area amounts to 94,600 sqm.
International Technical Fair (ITF) which is an annual event is the ideal platform to promote products and services andcomprises of 10 concurrent events focusing on different sectors of manufacturing and processing industry.
Over 1,250 (752 direct exhibitors and 505 represented companies) from 43 countries participated in ITF 2012.There were 15 country pavilions from Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Chinese Taipei, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary,Iraq, Italy, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Turkey and the UK.
The fair successfully attracted over 40,000 trade visitors including from outside Bulgaria- viz Albania, Algeria, Armenia,Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, France,Germany, Greece, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Libya, Malta, Moldova, Monte Negro, the Netherlands, Norway,Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland,Turkey and Ukraine.
BulgariaBulgaria has been included in the Focus Market Scheme of the Foreign Trade Policy with effect from January 2013to increase exports to that country given the export potential. Five years after joining the European Union (EU), Bulgariaoffers tremendous investments and business opportunities with second-lowest government debt in the European Union(17.0% of GDP) and one of the lowest budget deficits (2.1%) as of 2011.
The country now enjoys political stability; Bulgaria has the most favourable tax regime in Europe. Corporate incometax rate is 10%, the lowest in the EU together with Cyprus. Personal income tax is 10%, flat rate. Industries in high-unemployment areas are granted 0% tax rate. There is a 2-year VAT exemption for imports of equipment for investmentprojects over Euro 5 million, creating good job opportunities.
Bulgaria is expected to grow on an average of 1.3% in the coming years. This is relatively low compared to theaverage of other Central and Eastern European countries and also relatively low compared to the global averageof 3.7%. Because of its own economic growth and that of its main trading partners, Bulgaria’s exports are expectedto grow 12% annually to US$56 bn in 2017, making Bulgaria one of the larger among the exporting countries worldwide.Similarly, import demand will grow with an average of 10% per year to US$57 bn in 2017, meaning that Bulgaria willtake the 52nd position on the global list of largest importers. By 2017, Bulgaria will mainly import fuels, office telecom& electrical equipment and ores & metals, which together account for 38% of total imports of Bulgaria. Similarly,Bulgaria’s exports will mainly consist of ores & metals, basic food and textiles (including fibres, yarn and products).Together these products will represent 51% of total exports in 2017.
The Bulgarian Government introduced the lowest tax rates in the region – ten per cent rate both on personal incomeand on corporate income, which contributed to strong foreign investment inflows.
Located at the heart of the Balkans, Bulgaria is a strategic logistics hub and provides excellent launching pad forsales into the European Union, Russia, Turkey and the Middle East.
