What- To help children to look after pets

When- All day

Where- Anywhere on the go

Why- Parents will not allow you to get a pet or you may be allergic so you can play with your online pet, receive certificates and prove that you can look after an animal.

Many children want pets to play with and care for. Often, parents wont let

them because they don’t know whether their child is responsible enough.

With this app, a child can prove to their parents that they are trustworthy to

look after a real life pet.

How can you persuade your parents to let you get a pet?

Asking your parents for a pet is just not working so you look after virtual version to prove your

commitment and responsibility.

Your child is begging you for a pet but you think they cannot look after one. Giving them the virtual version you can establish whether

they are capable or not.

You are considering getting a pet, however you are sceptical to the fact of if you’re adept

enough in the subject to fit said pets needs. To prove to yourself you are competent enough

you look after virtual version in order to inaugurate whether you should go ahead and

get your dream pet.

You are dubious whether or not you can give your pet the needs it requires, you learn

about these needs using tips and advice our app offers.

Our team ,Shraj, is developing a

mobile phone app to help children aged 7-14 , who want a pet, to prove to their

parents that they can look after one!

Our interview results

The majority did not have pets (but they wanted one)

Mostly liked music & movies

They where 12-13 years old

More girls than boys (by one)

They are all at school.

Pet Playpen: This app only lets you interact with 3 pets. Our app will let you pick any

animal you want out of a large selection.

Our competition

Ours is

realistic!

The core feature of our app is that it can allow you to look after a virtual to verify to your parents that

you can look after a real pet.

As a user I want to be able to treat the virtual pet like it is a real one, so that I can know whether I am

capable enough to look after a real pet.

In our app you will be able to treat the virtual pet as if it is alive by taking him/her for walks, feeding them, playing with them and buying them things.

Overview

The app fish bowl & friends Is an app aimed at 6-14 year olds. It is to help children who would like a pet but are not allowed one. In the app the child looks

after a virtual pet. They need to be able to give the pet all the essentials (feed it, walk it, play with it etc..) in order to receive the certificate stating that they can look after a pet. The app is free of charge and comes with all breeds of fish and 1 type of dog, cat ,rabbit,

hamster and guinea pig pre-downloaded. However if you wish to look after another breed of animal then

there will be a small charge of £0.69.

Map for walking

your dog.

The device of which the app is used on needs to be able to stream: location services, touch screen feasibility and notifications.

Our app relies solely on these areas as GPS is used when walking (only on selected pets) also touch screen is necessary as we would like if the product was accessible on apple products, of which are touch screen. Finally notifications are needed as app owners will need reminders to motivate them to care for their virtual friend.

Business modelThe app itself will be free

however we will charge £0.69 for add-on’s and upgrades. We have got over 50 customer pledges and counting. All potential customers were satisfied with our app and loved what we had done

with it.

The three core marketing activities we are doing are:

Youtube video:A little girl wants a pet but her mum doesn’t think she is

responsible enough, so she downloads ‘Fishbowl & Friends’ she gets the certificate to show her mum that she is capable of

having a pet and she gets a fish. Poster:

On the poster it will have our logo for the app as well as some information about the app itself and what it does.

Magazine article:In the magazine article, we will have the logo and some

information about the app. It will have big and bold writing and will be colourful so that children will be intrigued in it.

Marketing Activities

If you’re chosen pet is a dog, when walking you can track how far you have gone with

in-app GPS system.

Parents of younger app owners are able to link the app to their own smartphone to

track what their child is doing.
