SEAHORSE

Swimming all the way from Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point), Mexico to theSan Francisco Bay, this unique, manually chiseled hanging metallic seahorsewas spawned from carbon-infused sheet metal. Its vivid metallic colors wereapplied by firing mineral powders directly onto the solder.

Seahorses hide in mangrove stands, coral reefs, and sea grass meadowswhere they remain camouflaged by deep brown and grey patterns, blending

into the sea grass backgrounds. While seahorses turn vivid colors insurprising surroundings and social situations, this seahorse wiggled andsquirmed until finally yielding its metal and bell-like resonances. Utilizing thefins, tail, and body brings bright harmonics nostalgic of banging on trashcans, delicate clinks, plunking kalimbas, and deep marimbas.

MANUAL INSTALLATION

If you have had any issues using our automatic installer.

Please using the following manual installation procedur

Use Winrar or UnrarX to un-compress the

8DIO_99_bottles.rar file into its own folder in your

sample library directory. Make sure to preserve the

included folder structure. This is usually done by

selecting the extract to'... option in Winrar or UnrarX

and then creating a directory called 8DIO_99_bottles.

You should now be able to open and play the .nki files.Be aware thatall of our .nki files are compatible with fullretail versions of Kontakt 3.5 or Kontakt 4 only.

Note: The Free Kontakt Player and any bundled Kontaktor Kompakt Players that come included with othersoftware, hardware or built into other sample librarieswon't be able to load this library. You may be able to runthe library for a 30 minute demo period, but the fullretail version of Kontakt is required to remove thisrestriction.

However, since our wave directories are open, you cantranslate the patches into whatever format you like.There are a few conversion utilities available that canmake the translation process much easier.

UI Controls:

This instrument has a variety of special controls thatallow deep realtime performance customization. Notall instrument presets include all controls listed.Included controls depend on the specific featuressuitable for each preset. Some instrument presets may

not include every control listed below. Some may alsouse alternate control mappings. You can see eachassignment by clicking on each UI control to display thehint text in the Infobar at the bottom of Kontakt.

Attack - (CC 74)This knob controls the sharpness of attack. Increasingthe value causes the sound to attack more softly.

Swell - (CC 1 or CC72)This knob controls the overall volume and intensity of

the sound. This allows realtime volume swelling andfading.

Release - (CC1 or CC93)This controls the release behavior of the sound. Lowersettings cause the sound to be damped and cut off,while higher settings allow the sound to play out aslong as a note is held down. In the MW modwheelcontrolled X-fading presets, release has been moved toCC93.

Offset - (CC 71 or CC91)This allows you to skip ahead and start each sample

farther into the actual wav file. This allows you tocustomize exactly which part of the sound you want toplay.

Stepping - (key-switches C-2 - C0)This allows pitch shifting on the fly. The Steppingsettings will determine how many semitones (100cents) up or down from normal that the sounds willplay the next time a note is triggered. You can use themain pitch knob or pitchwheel for realtime pitchbending. You can go up or down by 24 semitones withthis knob at any time. The pitch control key-switchesoverride this knob.

Key Switch On/Off ButtonThis enables/disables the key-switches between C-2and C0 that shift the pitch up or down. C-1 resets thepitch to default.

Tuned/Untuned ButtonThis button enables/disables key-based pitch changing.When on, the samples are pitch-changed like a tunedinstrument. When off, each key will be the same pitch.

FX Controls:

Reverb Dry Mix

This knob controls the amount of "dry" or "clean" signalreturning from the convolution reverb effect. This knob isonly active when a reverb impulse has been loaded in theImpulse Select drop-down menu located to the right ofthe "wet mix" knob or in presets that come with animpulse already pre-loaded.

Reverb Wet Mix

This knob controls the amount of "wet" signal returningfrom the convolution reverb effect. This knob is only activewhen a reverb impulse has been loaded in the ImpulseSelect drop-down menu located to the right of the "wetmix" knob or in presets that come with an impulsealready pre-loaded.

Low Pass

This knob enables and controls the high-frequency roll offamount that is applied to the convolution output. Use thisto dull, darken and soften the sound.

Convolution Reverb Impulse Menu

This drop-down menu allows instant access to a variety ofcustom convolution impulses that we've captured in someof our favorite locations or created using various specialtechniques.

As soon as you load an impulse from the menu, the effectis activated and the impulse you've chosen is loaded into

the signal path. Once an impulse has been loaded, the"Dry mix" and "Wet Mix" knobs become active. You candisable and bypass the convolution effect entirely andunload any loaded impulse file at any time, by selecting the"None" option at the top of the list.

EQ Active/Bypass Button

This enables/disables the EQ insert effect.

Low

This knob controls the bass gain.

Mid

This knob controls the mid gain.

Mid Frequency

This knob controls the mid band center frequency.

High

This knob controls the treble gain.
