    MASTERS PROGRAMMESGENERAL INFORMATION

The M.A. (Theology) and M.Th. (for the latter see MagisterTheologiae [M.Th.]) are of similar quality; however the M.Th. lendsitself to greater diversity. This depends on the route whereby astudent normally arrives at the M.A. and M.Th. In the case of theM.A. the student usually had a hierarchically structured formertraining, that is, he/she started earlier specialising in only one or twotheological subjects. In the case of the M.Th. the student was up tohonores level evenly exposed to all the theological subjects. Thisdifference entails that a broader range of possibilities can be offeredin the M.Th. programmes.
