It’s hard to believe that in 1997there was a vacant lot on Claren-don Street between Chandler and
Lawrence streets in the South End.After several months of workingwith Boston’s building commissionsand when the South End LandmarkDistrict Commission approvedplans, a developer obtained permis-
sion to construct a four-unit condo-minium building on the lot. A certifi-cate of occupancy was issued Dec.18, 1998.
