The World

FUN Amy’s Comment: I have been attempting to start the updates with a lighter or fun story; unfortunately they aren’t easy to come by in the news these days. However, an Israeli paper (Haaretz, meaning The Land) has started a new section called WORD OF THE DAY. I thought it would be fun to learn some Hebrew

*Word of the Day / Kippa aduma אדומה כיפה Many English speakers familiar with Jewish ritual practice know that the skullcap worn by religious Jewish men (a “yarmulke,” in Yiddish) is known in Hebrew as a “kippa.” But it also has other meanings in Hebrew, such as “dome” and a more generic “cap,” and is used in many contexts where you wouldn’t expect to see too many yarmulkes -- like the Dome of the Rock, which in Hebrew is called either Kipat Hasela (“sela” means “rock”) or Kipat Hazahav, a reference to the gold dome that is the Muslim shrine’s most recognizable feature. If you’re sitting in the open air, you’re under kipat hashamayim (literally “the sky dome”), and the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system is Kipat Barzel, though that “iron kippa” sounds more like it should have pride of place on the wish list of any self-respecting Jewish knight in shining armor. And while a man wearing a red kippa has a kippa aduma on his head, the girl called Kippa Aduma is actually Little Red Riding Hood. (Economic collapse Revelation 6:5-6 & James 5:1-3)- Decline of the Euro *Monti Warns Italy Risks Anti-Euro Shift Without Action on Spread Italy risks a public backlash that could lead to an anti-euro government in the region’s third- biggest economy should European policy makers fail to bring down borrowing costs, said Prime Minister Mario Monti. Monti made the remarks in Finland during a three-nation tour aimed at challenging his European Union colleagues to back his fight to lower the extra yield investors are imposing on Italian and Spanish government debt. Spain and Italy are now in focus as they suffer contagion from the debt crisis that erupted in Greece almost three years ago. “If the spread in Italy remains at this level for some time, then you’re going to see a non-EU oriented, non-euro oriented, non-fiscal discipline oriented government in Italy,” Monti said in a speech in Helsinki. The European Central Bank (ECB) board is meeting on Thursday (2 August) in Frankfurt amid high hopes from investors that it will deliver on what its chief suggested last week: a forceful intervention to help out Italy and Spain. But Germany's central bank is against the move.ECB chief Mario Draghi last week said the bank would do "whatever it takes" to support the euro, adding "Believe me, it will be enough."He specifically mentioned a controversial bond buying programme that last year helped bring down Spain and Italy's borrowing costs. Both countries are again struggling to sell government bonds, as their interest rates are too high to be considered "sustainable," meaning investors are asking extra premiums for fear the countries may default. (Economic collapse Revelation 6:5-6 & James 5:1-3)- Worldwide *Fed says economy may need help, keeps policy on hold *Weekly jobless claims rise to 365,000 The Federal Reserve stopped short of offering new monetary stimulus on Wednesday even as it signaled more strongly that further bond buying could be in store to help a economic recovery that it said had lost momentum this year. Fed officials described the economy as having "decelerated somewhat," a change of tone from its previous assessment in June when it said the economy had been "expanding moderately." The Fed's policymakers also reiterated their disappointment with the slow pace of progress in bringing down the nation's 8.2 percent jobless rate. The central bank dashed expectations among some investors by taking no new measures, sending U.S. stocks lower and the dollar higher against the euro and the yen. *San Bernardino, California, files for bankruptcy with over $1 billion in debts San Bernardino filed for bankruptcy protection on Wednesday citing more than $1 billion of debts and making it the third California city to seek protection from creditors. The city of about 210,000 residents 65 miles east of Los Angeles declared a fiscal crisis last month after a report said local government had tapped out its reserves and projected spending would top revenue by $45 million in the fiscal year that began on July 1. The filing, made in the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central California District, states that the city has "more than $1 billion" in liabilities, and estimated that it has between 10,001 and 25,000 creditors. It also states that San Bernardino has estimated assets of more than $1 billion. San Bernardino's city council voted on July 24 to adopt an emergency three-month fiscal plan that would suspend debt payments, freeze vacant jobs and quit paying into a retiree health fund while city staff produce a more detailed bankruptcy plan. *Christians tormented with music, then attacked For months, a group of Hindu extremists in southern India had been blasting high-volume movie music at the prayer meetings of a local Christian ministry. In early July, the harassment crossed the line to assault when the Hindus burst into the prayer meeting of End Time Ministries, knocked three worshippers unconscious and ripped the clothes off a widow, ministry officials say. As a result, End Time Ministries has moved to a new location to achieve a measure of safety, its leaders say, and a magistrate has warned the ministry to stop holding it meetings in homes. *Xbox Chat Leads To Violent Attack In Oakley Amy’s Comment: So many teens (mainly boys) are on Xbox Live, I thought it would be a good idea to share this story An online fight led to an in-person attack for a young man in Oakley, and he ended up with nearly two dozen stab wounds. This stabbing all started with a conversation on an Xbox Live headset that allegedly set a 17-year-old off, not with a joystick, but with a real knife and gun. Kevin Kemp, 20, didn’t mind showing the scars from his battle Monday. There are 22 stab wounds now stitched back up. That was the end result of what started as an exchange with a family friend online. “We were just talking over headsets,” Kemp said. But this was no virtual violence. Their Xbox banter turned bitter. Kemp says the anger had nothing to do with a game. It was a continued feud with his friend that inflamed. “I’m like, ‘Bro, if want to do this, come over to my house and we’ll do this right now,’” Kemp said. That friend left the headset behind, then suddenly entered Kemp’s front door. He reportedly pushed his way past Kemp’s mom, knife and gun in hand. (Scorching Sun Isaiah30:26 & Revelation 16:8-9) (Droughts Jeremiah 50:38 & Isaiah 42:15)

*Drought decimates Arkansas' famed cattle industry One by one, long cattle trailers in bright green and barnyard red slowly pull up to the Arkansas Cattle Auction. Folks with mud on their boots and cowboy hats on their heads unload their life's work. The cows trundle out into the waiting pens. A few hours later, they will be sold at a third their usual value -- if their owners are lucky. The crippling, record U.S. drought has forced ranchers all over America to unload their stock sooner and at lower prices than they would probably like, a problem that seems likely to get worse before it gets better. The extreme flash drought -- meaning it came on unexpectedly and isn't letting up -- is decimating Arkansas' cattle industry. Without grass to graze on, owners are having to dip into their winter hay if they have it, or pay $70 per bail of hay that in good times would cost $40. For many it's too expensive to keep their cows. Inside the auction room, with the crazy-fast drone of the auctioneer echoing off the wooden walls, there is pain in the clinched jaws of the locals trying to sell the cattle they have worked years to perfect genetically. *Record high temperatures roast Oklahoma- heat warnings issued for numerous counties The National Weather Service forecasts highs near 113 degrees (45 C) this afternoon; 109 on Thursday; 107 on Friday; and 102 on Saturday for Tulsa. Highs are expected to finally sink to the 90s again by Sunday, when a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms is forecast for Tulsa. Tulsa reached its hottest temperature of the calendar year on Tuesday, 112 degrees. Tulsa finished the month of July with 1.38 inches of rain, almost 2 inches below normal for the month. The weather service extended its heat warning for northeast Oklahoma until 7 p.m. Friday. farmers and ranchers grappling with extreme dryness and heat. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's addition of the 218 counties means that more than half of all U.S. counties — 1,584 in 32 states — have been designated primary disaster areas this growing season, the vast majority of them mired in a drought that's considered the worst in decades. (Mark of the Beast Technology Daniel 12:4 and Revelation 13:16-17)

*They Really Do Want To Implant Microchips Into Your Brain Are you ready to have a microchip implanted into your brain? That might not sound very appealing to you at this point, but this is exactly what the big pharmaceutical companies and the big technology companies have planned for our future. They are pumping millions of dollars into researching “cutting edge” technologies that will enable implantable microchips to greatly “enhance” our health and our lives. Of course nobody is going to force you to have a microchip implanted into your brain when they are first introduced. Initially, brain implants will be marketed as “revolutionary breakthroughs” that can cure chronic diseases and that can enable the disabled to live normal lives. When the “benefits” of such technology are demonstrated to the general public, soon most people will want to become “super-abled”. Just imagine the hype that will surround these implants when people discover that you can get rid of your extra weight in a matter of days or that you can download an entire college course into your memory in just a matter of hours. The possibilities for this kind of technology are endless, and it is just a matter of time before having microchips implanted into your brain is considered to be quite common. What was once science fiction is rapidly becoming reality, and it is going to change the world forever. EARTHQUAKES/WEATHER (Isaiah 24:19-20 , Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8 , Luke 21:11 , Luke 21:25 - storms)

*Magnitude 6.1 quake in central Peru A deep, magnitude-6.1 earthquake shook people awake in Peru's central jungle region early Thursday and was also felt in the capital, Lima. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. Civil defense official Jairo Goreau in the provincial capital of Pucallpa near the epicenter said some power outages were reported as well as telephone line congestion but city inspectors had so far encountered no damage. *6 quakes in last week off southern Oregon coast Six earthquakes between magnitude 1.6 and 2.1 rumbled under the ocean less than 20 miles off the Oregon Coast in the last week, according to U.S. Geologic Survey records. The most recent - and most powerful - hit early Tuesday morning. And two quakes over 4.0 shook last week about 240 miles off Bandon. Small quakes hit Oregon on a regular basis, both on and off coast. Last Thursday, for example, a magnitude 1.4 shook 8 miles northeast of Springfield, and a 1.5 magnitude earthquake rumbled 11 miles east of Woodburn just before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. But for residents of the Oregon Coast, earthquakes - and the tsunamis they can trigger - have taken on renewed importance since March 2011. *Three SC Earthquakes in a Week: A Warning? Residents on the South Carolina coast may have a felt a slight rumbling Tuesday morning due to an earthquake; in fact, it was the third one in the state over the past week. Anyone who has ever been in an earthquake will tell you, It leaves a lasting impression on you. Living through a large earthquake hasn't only been an experience for James Knapp, as a professor at USC's School of Earth and Ocean Science, studying earthquakes is his job. "It's a very unsettling feeling when everything around you is moving, there's really no place for you to go and seek shelter," shared Knapp. In the past week, South Carolina has experienced three small earthquakes; a 2.0 magnitude in Spartanburg County, a 2.5 in Chesterfield County and 2.8 in Charleston County. SC is a somewhat unusual place to have earthquakes because in fact, most earthquakes take place at boundaries between tectonic plates of the earth, and yet here in SC we're not on a plate boundary. We don't fully understand all of the factors that go into generating seismicity in the interior of a plate." *New Zealand’s White Island volcano showing growing signs of unrest White Island volcano is showing signs of increased activity, GNS Science says. The volcano, about 49 kilometres off the coast of Whakatane, is a popular tourist spot, but GNS volcanologist Michael Rosenberg says those visiting it should be cautious even though the alert level for the island had not changed. “Eruptions can occur at any time with little or no warning. The recent changes in activity suggest that the hydrothermal system has become unstable, and as a result the risk has increased,” Rosenberg said. GNS Science has changed the volcano’s code from a ‘normal, non eruptive state’ to ‘experiencing signs of elevated unrest above known background levels.’ The volcano’s lake level quickly rose by about three to five meters sometime between Friday and Saturday last week, exposing a ‘vigorous’ flow of gas and steam into the air, Rosenberg said. Police said there were threats to cause a riot at the site. Jewish organizations for Temple-related activism said, "We must be thankful that the police have come to understand that closing the Temple Mount to Jews is in contradiction to the right to freedom of worship. However, it should be noted that – contrary to what Mr. Barkat said – this is not this first time that the police has discriminated between Muslims and Jews on the Temple Mount." *Ahmadinejad: Annihilate Israel, 'Axis of Unity of World Powers' *Ahmadinejad: Jerusalem key to global problems Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has once again called for the annihilation of Israel, which he labeled “the axis of unity of the world hegemonic powers.” Speaking in advance of International Qods Day, set this year for August 17, Ahmadinejad repeated his annual litany of hate for the Jewish State in a meeting with ambassadors and embassy personnel of Islamic nations in Tehran, according to the official state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), quoting from a statement posted on the website of his presidential office. "It has now been some 400 years that a horrendous Zionist clan has been ruling the major world affairs, and behind the scenes of the major power circles, in political, media, monetary and banking organizations in the world, they have been the decision makers...” the Iranian president claimed. "The Zionist regime is both the symbol of the hegemony of the Zionism over the world and the means in the hand of the oppressor powers for expansion of their hegemony in the region and in the world,” he went on. "The Qods Day is not merely a strategic solution for the Palestinian problem, as it is to be viewed as a key for solving the world problems; any freedom lover and justice seeker in the world must do its best for the annihilation of the Zionist regime in order to pave the path for the establishment of justice and freedom in the world,” he declared. "Zionism is the modern times plight of the human society and when we meet the European politicians they say speak transparently about everything, but they refrain from talking about the Zionist regime, which proves that Israel is the axis of unity of the world hegemonic powers,” he added. *Hamas blasts Palestinian official's Auschwitz trip Gaza's ruling Hamas has criticized a Palestinian official for visiting a memorial at the Nazi death camp of Auschwitz and paying respects to its 1.5 million victims there, most of them Jews. Hamas official Fawzi Barhoum, expressing the Islamic militant group's position, claimed Wednesday that the Holocaust "is a big lie." He said last week's visit to the Auschwitz by Ziad al-Bandak, an adviser to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, went against Palestinian public opinion. Abbas and Hamas are political rivals. *Arab Ministerial Council to Set Date for Palestinian UN Bid *Palestinians brace for US, Israeli repercussions if they seek UN recognition, document shows The date for presenting the application of the Palestinian bid to the United Nations will be set in the Arab Ministerial council’s meeting scheduled on the fifth of September, Thursday said Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat. During separate meetings with councils and representatives of France, Germany, India, Brazil, South Africa, and the US, Erekat said that the Palestinian bid to the United Nations to seek a non member state status is a decision taken by Palestinians and Arabs. He added that to recognize Palestine as a non-member state will not harm the final status negotiations, which aim is to implement UN Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338 and end the Israeli occupation that began in 1967. He called on the international community to intervene immediately to compel the Israeli government to re-open the closed Palestinian offices and institutions in East Jerusalem since 2001, mainly the Orient House, and the Jerusalem Chamber of Commerce, as well as to stop all settlement activities, including in East Jerusalem. Jordan *Panetta and Jordan King discuss ‘post-Assad’ Syria U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and Jordan's King Abdullah II on Thursday discussed the question of a political transition in “a post-Bashar al-Assad Syria,” Pentagon spokesman George Little said. “They talked not only about how to deal with the current crisis that is being fuelled by the intolerable acts of the regime, but also the prospects for political transition in a post-Bashar al-Assad Syria,” Little told reporters. “They agreed that strong international pressure needs to be sustained to make it clear that Assad must go, and that the Syrian people deserve to determine their own future.” Panetta pledged that “the United States will work with Jordan to explore ways to continue to provide humanitarian aid to those affected by violence in Syria,” Little said. The U.S. defense secretary was in Jordan on the last leg of a regional tour of Tunisia, Egypt and Israel. “Both of our nations share concerns about what is happening in Syria and the impact that that could have on regional stability,” Panetta told reporters before arriving in Amman. “We are working very closely with them (the Jordanians) along with a lot of international and non-governmental partners, to provide humanitarian assistance to support those that have been affected by violence in Syria.” Aug. 2, 2012

Lebanon *Two Lebanese injured in Syrian shelling near Akkar Two Lebanese nationals were injured following the shelling Wednesday night of the town of Kherbet Daoud in northern Lebanon’s Akkar by Syrian regime forces, the National News Agency (NNA) reported on Thursday. The report added that one of the victims – identified as Mariam al-Zoghby – was admitted into Al-Qobayyat hospital to be treated for her injuries, while the other victim, Tayssir Merheb, was lightly wounded. It also said that seven shells fired from the Syrian side of the border hit the northern town, six kilometers deep into Lebanese territories. Speaking to the NNA, the municipality chief of Kherbet Daoud called on the Lebanese authorities to “bear their responsibilities” regarding the security situation in the area, especially following Wednesday’s developments which led the residents to flee the town for fear of further escalations. Meanwhile, gunfire from the Syrian side of the border reached the banks of the river between the towns of Abudiyeh and Sheikh Aayyash, according to the NNA. *Nasrallah Relocating to Iran? Iran's top leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has instructed the head of Iranian proxy Hizbullah to leave Lebanon and move to Iran if Syria's Bashar Assad falls from power, a Kuwaiti newspaper reports. The paper, A Siasa, explains that the Iranian leadership has been weighing two possible courses of action, in case Iran's protégé and partner Assad is toppled. The first option includes supplying Hizbullah with state-of-the-art heavy weapons and enlarging the number of Iranian soldiers in Lebanon. This option would have strengthened the Iranian presence in Lebanon as compensation for the loss of Iran's Syrian ally. The second option is to evacuate all Iranian Revolutionary Guard soldiers from southern Lebanon and Beirut, and to relocate Nasrallah and other senior commanders from Beirut to Tehran, for fear they would be assassinated if Assad's regime falls. Muslims attacked a Coptic church in a village near Cairo Wednesday in the first such incident since Mohamed Morsi became president. At least 16 people were wounded in the melee, among them 10 police officers, authorities said. The Muslim rioters were intent on torching the church in the village of Dahshur, some 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Cairo. They were stopped by police who fired teargas at the mob. Instead, the Muslim rioters attacked other Christian properties, setting them ablaze, and torched three police cars as well. The mob “looted and torched shops, including a jewelry store … they terrorized the local community, forcing them to leave their homes,” according to office of the local Coptic Archbishop of Giza. The cleric's office reported that the entire Christian population had fled the village of Dahshur. Aug. 2, 2012 http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/158534#.UBqLZqDNmDQ

Syria *Rebels use captured tank against Syrian forces *Death toll mounts across Syria; mobiles and Internet reportedly cut in Aleppo *Syrian Rebels Attack Military Airport as Clashes Rage Syrian rebels on Thursday bombarded a military air base in Aleppo using a tank captured from government troops as activists reported that the regime has unleashed new raids against opposition fighters near the capital Damascus, killing dozens. The Aleppo report was one of the first indications the rebels are starting to deploy the heavy weapons they've managed to capture in the past weeks from the Syrian army. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the rebel-seized tank shelled the Menagh military airport outside Aleppo, which the regime has used to launch attacks on rebel positions in the surrounding area. *Obama authorizes secret U.S. support for Syrian rebels *CIA authorised to offer intelligence support to Syrian rebels

President Barack Obama has signed a secret order authorizing U.S. support for rebels seeking to depose Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his government, U.S. sources familiar with the matter said. Obama's order, approved earlier this year and known as an intelligence "finding," broadly permits the CIA and other U.S. agencies to provide support that could help the rebels oust Assad. This and other developments signal a shift toward growing, albeit still circumscribed, support for Assad's armed opponents - a shift that intensified following last month's failure of the U.N. Security Council to agree on tougher sanctions against the Damascus government. *UN Assembly to ask Syria's Assad to step down *Kofi Annan quits as UN-Arab League envoy Arab countries pushed ahead Wednesday with a symbolic UN General Assembly resolution that tells Syrian President Bashar Assad to resign and turn over power to a transitional government. It also demands that the Syrian army stop its shelling and helicopter attacks and withdraw to its barracks. A vote is set for Friday morning. The draft resolution takes a swipe at Russia and China by "deploring the Security Council failure" to act. Moscow and Beijing have used their veto in the powerful Council three times to kill resolutions that could have opened the door to sanctions on Syria. Iran/Iraq/Turkey/Russia *Satellite images suggest cover-up of nuclear activity at Iranian site Recent satellite imagery of the controversial Parchin military site in Iran shows evidence of "considerable sanitization and earth displacement activity", indicating a possible Iranian cover-up of work related to nuclear weapons development, according to a report released by the Institute for Science and International Security on Wednesday. The International Atomic Energy Agency believes that Parchin may be the location of a high explosives testing chamber used by Iran in suspected nuclear weapons development efforts. In February, the agency sought to inspect the site to determine whether military nuclear activity had taken place there. Iran has repeatedly refused to grant the agency access to the site, saying that access could only be permitted as part of a broader deal on issues dealing with military aspects of its nuclear program. Negotiations on such a deal have not borne fruit. Aug. 2, 2012 http://www.israelhayom.com/site/newsletter_article.php?id=5262

*Former Israeli Mossad chief warns Iran Speculation over a possible Israeli military strike on Iran's nuclear sites continues with a former Mossad chief saying the Iranians should be scared. "If I were an Iranian, I would be very fearful of the next 12 weeks," Efraim Halevy, a former Israel intelligence agency chief, told The New York Times. His statements came as U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta met with the Israeli leadership on Wednesday and stressed his country's commitment to stopping Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. "If they make the decision to proceed with a nuclear weapon ... we have options that we are prepared to implement to ensure that that does not happen," The Jerusalem Post quoted Panetta saying. *Iraq rejects US extradition for senior Lebanese Hezbollah operative An Iraqi court has rejected a request to send a terror commander to the United States for trial, a decision that apparently ends the Obama administration's efforts to prosecute the Lebanese Hezbollah figure held in Iraq for the 2007 killings of five American soldiers. The U.S. believes Ali Mussa Daqduq is a top threat to Americans in the Mideast, and had asked Baghdad to extradite him even before two Iraqi courts found him not guilty of masterminding the 2007 raid on an American military base in the holy Shiite city of Karbala. But the July 30 decision by the Iraqi central criminal court, a copy of which was obtained by The Associated Press, ordered that Daqduq be freed immediately. It also makes it clear that Iraq believes the legal case against Hezbollah commander is over. *Attacks on Iraqi checkpoints kill eight, officials say Three attacks on separate checkpoints north of Baghdad on Thursday killed eight people, including four policemen and three anti-Qaeda militiamen, Iraqi officials said. Unknown gunmen killed four policemen in an attack on a checkpoint on a road near Tikrit, 160 kilometers (100 miles) north of Baghdad, a Tikrit police officer and a medic from the town's hospital said. Three anti-Qaeda Sahwa militiamen were killed by a bomb placed in a caravan at a checkpoint near Balad, 70 kilometers (43 miles) north of the Iraqi capital, a police officer and a medic from Balad said. And gunmen attacked an army checkpoint in Dujail, 60 kilometers (37.5 miles) north of Baghdad, killing a soldier and kidnapping four others, an Iraqi army officer said. The latest violence comes a day after official figures put the number of people killed in attacks in July at 325, the highest monthly death toll since August 2010. *Turkey, Iraqi Kurds to act against Kurdish rebels *Iraq slams Turkish FM visit to Kirkuk Turkey and Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region have said in a rare joint statement that they will tackle any threat from a violent group or organization that exploits the power vacuum in Syria, an apparent reference to Kurdish rebels in Turkey and Syria. Turkey launched a military drill Wednesday just across the border from a Syrian town it claims is controlled by Kurdish rebels, a show of muscle aimed at Kurdish separatists pushing for autonomy within Turkey's borders. *Turkish military stages New tank exercises near Syrian border The Turkish military began tank exercises in Mardin province, near the Syrian border, amid heightened concerns in Ankara over the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) gaining control over Kurdish cities in northern Syria. The exercises in the Nusaybin district follow a series of military deployments to the Syrian border since reports that Syrian Kurdish groups have established control over northern Syria appeared in the Turkish media late last month. About 25 tanks joined the exercises, which are meant to test the tanks’ speed and maneuvering capabilities, the Anatolia news agency said. The exercises will continue for the next few days, Mardin Governor Turhan Ayvaz told Anatolia. Aug. 2, 2012

The Arab Spring in Prophecy

(Perilous Times Luke 21:9 & Nation against Nation, Kingdom against Kingdom Matt.24:7) (Revelation 6:3-4 Revelation 6:8)

Luke 21:9 and Matthew 24:7 speak of nation against nation and kingdom against kingdom in the end times. Revelation 6:3-4 speaks of the fiery red horse given power to make men slay one another and Revelation 6:8 speaks again of this red horse in conjunction with the pale horse of Death and Hades, as the one that has the power to kill by sword.

I like to call this “The Arab Spring in Prophecy” because for us it is easy to identify- that’s what the world calls it.

Luke 21:9: wars & commotions; the Greek word here is Akatastasia, meaning instability, a state of disorder, disturbance, confusion (revolutions) Matthew 24:7: the Greek word for nation is Ethnos & refers to various ethnic groups fighting among themselves, where the next sentence in the verse refers to kingdoms (basileiva) fighting one another (not to be confused with an actual kingdom but rather the right or authority to rule over a kingdom)

Countries highlighted in blue (see Psalm 83 chart above) are only those listed in the upcoming prophetical wars. I have tried to separate it into areas that sweep EAST from the point of North America.

*8 arrested in fresh Quebec tuition protest At least eight people have been arrested in a fresh police crackdown on protests against rising university tuition costs and restrictions on demonstrations in Canada’s French-speaking province of Quebec. The arrests made on Wednesday when thousands of people took to streets of the provincial capital, Montreal to show their outrage at the government’s policies on the opening day of campaigning for upcoming general elections. Police used force to disperse the protesters and claimed the demonstration was illegal because the officials had not issued permission for the rally. According to protesters, the Wednesday protest marked the 100th demonstration since the start of student protests in February over rising cost of education. *Blast hits military intelligence department in East Libya A bomb blast shook the department of military intelligence in the eastern city of Benghazi early Wednesday, causing material damage to the building, Libyan security sources said. "The department of military intelligence was bombed," a senior security officer told AFP, adding that the level of damage to the two-story building suggested it was hit by an improvised explosive device. Adjacent buildings were also touched by the dawn blast, he added. "The incident did not result in injury to any of the guards of the residents of neighboring buildings," said the official who did not wish to be named. The identity of the attackers, he said, remains unknown. Khaled Haidar, spokesperson for the director of national security in Benghazi, told AFP that the eastern city has witnessed a series of security breaches over the past week. These included the discovery and neutralization of a bomb outside the iconic Tibesti hotel on Sunday. *Greek bank employees mount protest in Athens Thousands of bank employees have gathered in the Greek capital, Athens, to protest against the government’s cost-cutting programs and austerity measures. Demonstrators marched from the state-controlled ATEbank (The Agricultural Bank of Greece) headquarters to the Greek Finance Ministry in order to show their protest against the changes that are taking place in the banking sector under cost-cutting programs. Even though the ATEbank is 90 percent state-owned, authorities have announced its sale due to its need for a significant amount of cash to continue operating. This has raised fears among employees as they are worried they might lose their jobs as a result of the deal.
