Tonya Tyner (Palmetto Coffee Shoppe & Tea Room) — Tonya Tyner is a spiritual, acoustic songwriter whose pointed lyrics permeate her clever,

compelling melodies. Her debut CD, Beautiful Light, is a stirring collection of stories about her eclectic life.

THE MIKE FROST BAND (VENUE ON BROAD)The Mike Frost Band features the superb vocals and saxophone of Lauren Meccia and is energizing the local music scene by blending together several musical styles to create a sound that’s all their own. Anchored by the dynamic bass playing of Mike Frost, they combine a crowd-pleasing sense of fun with adventurous, turn-on-a-dime musicianship. Mike Frost (Bass) is a composer, studio musician, educator, recording engineer, and designer of Brickhouse speaker enclosures. He leads his own Mike Frost Band and tours with Jesse Colin Young and with guitarist Esteban. Mike Frost Band has released four albums, Live at the Blue Horse (2011,) Riddle Me This? (2011,) Frosty Christmas (2012,) and Live at the Red Pepper (2013.) Mike has recorded and performed with a long list of high-profile musicians including Jimmy Bruno, David Mann (Tower of Power,) John Miceli (Meatloaf,) and George Cintron (Leslie West, Blue Oyster Cult.) Lauren Meccia (Saxophone, vocals)—Lauren is Director of Bands at USC Aiken and leads the University Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band. She also serves as Instructor of Saxophone at USCA and is the founder and director of the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area) New Horizons Band, a beginning band for adults. Active in jazz and concert music, Lauren has performed with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, Asheville Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra Augusta,

Palmetto Concert Band, Aiken Big Band, and the Assembly Quartet, and has appeared in concert with the Temptations and with Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs. She is director of the SCMEA (South Carolina Music Educators) Band Directors' Big Band.

EDWIN G. HAMILTON (VENUE ON BROAD) was born into a highly musical family on May 1, 1991 gaining influence from both his talented mother and father. His father is a proficient guitarist who is recognized in the community as a pioneer who started it all musically in the area. Edwin started on both the drums and the piano and his influences definitely are deeply rooted in the church. Edwin has never studied exclusively with a teacher and is largely a self-taught pianist/drummer. In 2014 he earned a Jazz Fellowship to go study in New Orleans under Herlin Riley. Hamilton has performed, recorded and/or worked with notable names such as: Teddy Adams, Explorer’s Club, Chris Crenshaw, Michael Dease, Calvin Edwards, Delbert Felix, Mike Frost, Aaron Goldberg, Wycliffe Gordon, Niki Haris, Enrique Hernandez, Charmaine Neville, Delfeayo Marsalis, Wynton Marsalis, Shannon Powell, Marcus Printup, Vinny Raniola, Herlin Riley, Tye Tribbet, Frank Vignola and many more.

POWER BAND (SHULL PAVILION/FAC) AJ Cooke, Robert Gibbs, William Rhinehart, and Mark Sobus. AJ Cooke (drums) is from Camden and is the owner of Cooke Funeral Home, Inc. Robert Gibbs (guitar) is known for his seven-string jazz and contemporary guitar work. He is the owner of Gibbs Guitars in

Sumter. Gibbs has over 30 years experience performing and teaching guitar. William Rhinehart (keyboards/vocals) is from Saluda SC and is the CEO of Keyed-Up Productions. A Berklee College graduate he has toured with Rick James, Vanessa Williams, Dionne Warwick and others. Mark Sobus (bass) is from Sumter SC and is a Chief Master Sgt. in the US Air Force at Shaw AFB.

FEATURINGF F MADDY WINER & VINCE LEWIS WITH THE JAZZ ALL-STARS (WOOD AUDITORIUM) E EMaddy Winer has enthralled audiences with her inimitable, recognizable voice for over 30 years. Maddy attributes her successes to her love of the Great American Songbook, jazz standards and the pop music of her youth. She has toured with pianist/composer Loonis McGlohon, host of the NPR series “American Popular Song," and together they performed concerts throughout the eastern United States including a sold-out performance at The Lincoln Center in New York City to standing ovations. Two McGlohon recordings “The Music Of Loonis McGlohon” and “Name Dropping” include tracks by Maddy along with Frank Sinatra, Cleo Laine, George Shearing, Tony Bennett, Rosemary Clooney, and others. She has headlined concerts at The Lincoln Center in New York City, the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, the Saint Louis Symphony, Saint Lawrence Centre For The Arts in Toronto and countless venues in between. Maddy’s opening act performances include Dave Brubeck, Lou Rawls, David Sanborn, Joe Sample & The Crusaders, George Shearing, Al Jarreau, Ellis Marsalis and a host of others. Kathryn Scheldt & Jim Mings (Sam Kendall's) met in Columbia SC while they were pursuing music degrees at USC. Jim had arrived via Austin TX and Kathryn, via Camden SC. They were together the day Elvis died and have been writing songs and making music ever since. They have recently had a musical reunion and combined forces on Blue Jazz Country, a collection of original songs which

are influenced by their diverse musical roots.

Jeff Liberty (Old Armory Steak & Seafood House) Liberty's scorching guitar and smoky voice have led him to gaining the respect of veteran performers, and wowing critics.
