Durable Finish: Entire enclosure is bonderized i nside and out and coated with baked on enamel for maximum durab i l ity and resistance to rust. Scratches cannot spread even though they extend through to the bare metal . All outdoor enclosu res are fabricated from galvanized steel .

Front Operated Handle: An i ntegral part of switch mechan ism, the easi ly accessib le handle permanently controls contacts, permits close ganging, does not discon nect when door is opened. Red v iny l sleeve provides h igh vis ibi l ity; indicates handle positio n (down for OFF; up for ON). The handle is provided with a V2' Dia. hole for hook stick operation. The vinyl boot can either be dr i l led or removed when hook stick operation is required.

12 Type 12 enclosu res are intended for indoor use primarily to provide a degree of protection against dust, fa l l ing d i rt, and dripping noncorrosive l iquids.

4 Type 4 enclosures are intended for indoor or outdoor use primarily to provide a degree of protection against windblown dust and rain, splashing water, and hose-di rected water.
