After taking a few steps back from reopening the Texas economy in June, Gov. Greg Abbott has an-nounced new steps to reopen Thursday in a noon press conference.

Gov. Abbott was joined by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, House Speaker Dennis Bonnen, Texas Department of State Health Services Commis-sioner Dr. John Hellerstedt and other health officials. The press conference hap-pened as numbers across the state have trended down in recent weeks.
