Goals & Dreams

Budget NewsThe quote of the week above harkens us, among other recent sacrifices and adjustments, to the infamous budget crisis. Some changes to be aware of: changes to Office Depot and Lakeshore accounts as noted; this year we regrettably are not able to fund conferences for staff; and our supply and materials budget is decreased significantly, so we need to be strategic.

It’s been wonderful to see our students in many of your classrooms reflect and articulate their goals and dreams for the year. I’m looking forward to seeing our 2010-11 goals and dreams bulletin board. Please plan to have your class’ offering to the office by Thursday, 8/26 so we can post them. Please be mindful of the limited space!

Also, our new teachers, I, and anyone who’d like to update their bio in the lobby (optional) should have those to me by 8/26 as well. Our theme will be My Path to College (description of how you planned for, made it to, financed, and/or took advantage of your time in college.

SchedulesThanks so much to everyone for submitting your weekly goals and objectives to me this morning. Everyone should expect to receive written feedback from me Monday mornings and to see me in their classes throughout the week. In order for me to plan my walk throughs most effectively, could each of you (except integrals; I have yours) please submit skeleton schedules of your day by the end of the day Friday. By this I mean a simple outline of what your daily schedule looks like. I understand that it might vary on any given day for a number of reasons.
