•  Plantneighborsupportisessen2allyunchangedinthepastfewyears.•  81percentofplantneighborsfavortheuseofnuclearenergy,andhalfarestronglyfavorable—exceedinga]tudesofthegeneralUSpublicsurveyedatthesame2me.

•  86percenthaveafavorableimpressionofthenearbyplantandhowithasoperatedrecently,and56percentareveryfavorable.

•  Supportfornuclearenergyisgroundedinawarenessofitsnumerousbenefits,especiallyreliableelectricity.

•  Thepercentagewhofeelverywellinformedaboutnuclearenergyincreasedfrom37percentto45percentoverthepasttwoyears.

•  Ofthosewhofeelverywellinformed,78percentareveryfavorabletothenearbyplant,andonepercentareveryunfavorable.Becauseac2vismisusuallydependentonfeelingverywellinformedaboutatopic,thechancesofplantneighborsbecomingac2vistsinfavorofanearbyplantvs.opposedtotheplantareabout78toone.
