    Rs.600/- per hour. Such type of ThickProsophis Juliflora jungle area shouldbe restricted to 10% of the total area tobe developed. If the cost norms of suchjungles exceeds unit cost norm ofRs.1800/- specific proposals should besent to TAWDEVA through DistrictWatershed Development Agencies.

    II. Assistance to farmers under National Watershed Development Projectfor Rainfed Areas (NWDPRA)

    a) Total subsidy Rs. 6000 / Ha. Out of which an amount of Rs. 4650 / Ha for the beneficiaries towardsdevelopment activities. For Administration, Community organization and Training activities Rs. 1350/ Ha is provided.

    b) Unemployed graduates areengaged as Secretary of theWatershed area. Persons studiedupto High School are engaged asVoluntary assistants

    c) Community organizationUnemployed persons at the level ofHigh School are engaged asCommunity Organiser.

    d) Unemployed graduates ofAgriculture, AgriculturalEngineering, Engineering,Horticulture, Fisheries, VeterinaryScience, Sociology are engagedas Watershed Development TeamMembers

    e) TrainingTraining is imparted to WDTmembers, Community organizers,Secretaries of the WatershedAssociation and beneficiaries in theWatershed are trained onparticipatory Rural Appraisal andhelp them to develop a need basedwatershed specific plan.

    Subsidy: Rs. 3000 / HaThe works are executed byUsers Group of that microwatershed. 10% contributionfrom the individual farmers forindividual oriented activities and, 5% contri-bution for communityactivities and5% contributionfrom SC/ST for individualoriented as well as communityoriented activities are collectedand remitted in the watersheddevelopment fund.

    g) Farm Production System forland owning familiesTesting and demonstration of newtechnology in Agriculture andallied sectors. Diversification ofproduction systems like Dryland

    Horticulture, Agro Forestry,Household production system,Adoption of proven technology,activities like INM, IPM, Fodderdevelopment, Organic farming,Multiple cropping, Improved intercropping seed village concept,Fisheries development, Livestockmanagement etc., are carried out.

    Subsidy: Rs. 1200 / HaContributions from thebeneficiaries are collected.50% contribution to becollected from beneficiaries forplanting of Horticulture and

    Agro Forestry crops. Fortesting of technologists 100%grant and Funds for adoptionof proven technology usedfrom revolving fund.Contributions collected areremitted in the WatershedDevelopment Fund Accountmaintained by the WatershedAssociations.

    h) Livelihood Support System

    Each watershed is provided with alumpsum and this amount isremitted under Revolving FundAccount operated by theWatershed Association and usedfor the income generationactivities of Self Help Groups.

    Subsidy: Rs. 450 / Ha

    The matured Self Help Groupare eligible to get loan from theRevolving Fund for the benefitof the families. 50% of theamount from the RevolvingFund Amount as savings withthe Self Help Groups is to betogether for taking up groupbased entrepreneurship.

    Association Communities andbeneficiaries in the Watershed through participatory RuralAppraisal and help them todevelop a need basedwatershed specific plan.

    Subsidy : Rs.750 / Ha.

    b) Physical Area TreatmentActivities like Field bund,Contour trenches, Dug well,Recharge pits, Farm pond,Agro Forestry, Horticulture,Animal Husbandry, Silvipasture, Grass seeding inwatershed areas.

    c) Drainage line treatmentActivities like Stone gulleyplugs, Renovation of waterharvesting structure, Desiltingof ponds, tanks, repair ofsupply channels.

    Subsidy: Rs. 4200 / Ha

    d) Livelihood Support forlandless women incomegenerating activities for SelfHelp Groups and landlessWomen and Men.

    Subsidy: Rs. 450 / Ha
